The challenge from the Sword Sovereign was all but expected.
While Z'oelo had successfully gotten the upper hand on his father as Muni was brought into being, that was not to say his father was easy to defeat.
The main reason why he was even taken by surprise was because for one, he did not know the connection of theirs was deepened to that point and two, they were simply sparring.
As he had gotten used to drilling in the essence of swordsmanship in his son, there was no reason for him to be too on edge during their sessions.
Another reason was that he was using a training sword and not his own Livelli.
The difference between the two was staggering as each person's Livelli had their own power scaling.
Some of the deepest connections allowed for fantastic things not unlike real powers.
For the Sword Sovereign, there was no need to mention his prowess; killing was as easy as breathing when he wielded his Livelli sword.
The crew were taken to the same training room as before where Z'oelo had been beaten black and blue and suffered all forms of cuts.
"If one of you can withstand one of my attacks, I will consider you to have the capabilities of bringing my only son with you."
"Heh. I think I'll take a crack at it first," Theef smugly stated.
He had been back from a trip of snacking on the local wildlife.
Typically, those around the Shetavi civilization were weaker Livelli holders that had a low chance of carrying a weapon LIvelli.
Some unfortunate partners had inedible food Livelli that only served to be a fickle reminder of the need for survival.
A few meals later and Theef was awaiting Null to work his spirit making magic.
At first, Null's experience with spirits began with the Soul Soothing Vase on Planet Barter.
However, if taken back to the beginning, on his home planet the Creator had used him as a medium for summoning his slumbering spirit inside the planet's core.
Null's existence was tied to the creation of spirits.
Theef developed a new, muscular form that was similar to the Shetavi after growing his special spirit organ.
After feeling around it— having already used Z'oelo and Muni as a reference point— he began filtering out the nonsensical spirit energy and providing the basis of a suitable spirit.
At first, he considered this trial a failure because there was no response to the spirit energy, however in due time an infant spirit managed to take on a form inside of it.
"Since this is a new spirit, I have no idea how its personality will develop, so it'll all be dependent on you," Null explained.
"I don't get how this all works, but something tells me I'm gonna get me a good partner to train up."
He spoke too soon as when the spirit fully coalesced into being it spoke to him, "Ah. Da hell am I?"
Theef, "...,"
The rest of the crew went confused at the dumbstruck look on his face.
Theef continued the conversation with his spirit partner, "You just got born kid, what's with the attitude."
"Don't act like I don't know what you act like. That's kind of the deal, no?"
"Guess that makes sense. You don't seem like a newborn spirit though."
The spirit inhabiting Theef's spirit organ just sighed and manifested its spirit form only before speaking from his shoulder, "Hey Null, what's the deal with this guy."
For a brief moment, there was a silence as both Theef and Null took the Livelli's form in.
It was similar in looks compared to Muni's form— much like that of a fairy.
Only this one was a male with deep black hair and vibrant pink eyes surrounded by a black cloak with a pink hood.
"Didn't you know, Theef? These guys are born after taking in all the knowledge and experiences you've been through."
Null failed to fully explain the ins and outs, but to be safe, he wanted to ask Z'oelo what the secrets were about the Livelli.
"Ah! So that's what it was," he turned to the newly manifested Livelli on his shoulder, "So what do you have for me? Some kind of weapon?"
"Tch," it was as if the Livelli had already travelled with Theef for a lifetime that he grew tired of his personality.
"It took some brainstorming to pick the perfect item for your crazy ass, but I've got to say I outdone myself."
"Big talk for someone who just manifested into being. Just show me already," Theef felt exactly the same about the personality of his so called 'partner'.
Immediately, a swift movement from the unnamed Livelli left the crowed speechless.
What appeared in the room was something entirely unexpected.
"T-this is a joke right," Theef could not believe what he was seeing.
In his hand was a syringe.
"You call this outdoing yourself! This thing is freaking useless!"
"Who are you calling useless you bastard?! Just see for yourself what I can do with this!"
Theef was not having it, but considering the die that Null held capable of utilizing his powerful energies he took the chance.
"Alright let's do this!"
He was transferred the method of how to utilize the syringe through the mental connection.
"You finally prepared yourself, is that it," the Sword Sovereign looked at Theef with disdain.
"Come then! Receive my sword!"
Before the swing, Theef pulled the plunger flange in air while it filled with air.
However, there was something actually filling the syringe!
It was a murky substance that filled the syringe before being completely filled to the brim.
The next move Theef made was to stab himself in the leg and push the mysterious substance into his body.
The next thing that happened was the impending swing of the Sword Sovereign's sword.
His sword LIvelli looked like an ancient craft that spared no expense to look like it was made from rare materials.
Unlike the ability laden Livelli that Null and Theef had, the weapon Livelli he wielded was made for the sole sake of harming its foes.
What Theef was able to do with his Livelli was something incredulous.
The syringe in his hands slowly shifted and glowed while turning into a sword itself!
The newborn Livelli was capable of transforming into the targeted object much like how Theef could copy the abilities from the things he consumed.
He took the sword in hands that looked a little different compared to the other by a large margin.
Theef's sword was simpler with a black hilt and was much less designed in nature.
When the two met in full arc, a loud clang resounded and Theef's side lost in the battle of strength.
Clang!
His sword actually broke from the collision!
Before he could finish his strike, the Sword Sovereign stopped his advancements.
This was not a real fight, so he would hold back when he could.
"A solid attempt, but for a sword to rule them all, there is no chance for it to fail."
