Chapter 239 - Exodus

The Temple of Eternal Twilight continued its collapse around them, ancient stones breaking free from foundations that had stood for millennia. Each fragment remained suspended in midair—held in perfect stasis by the mere presence of the transformed Klaus. The scene resembled a frozen painting of destruction, beauty and devastation captured in an impossible tableau.

Klaus stood with unearthly grace, his newly white hair gleaming with inner radiance that cast strange shadows across features now refined to perfection. His crystal blue eyes surveyed the chamber, perceiving layers beyond physical reality.

Roman approached his grandson, frost gathering at his feet as he fought against the natural resistance Klaus's presence imposed. "The temple won't hold much longer," he said, his voice tight with effort. "We need to get everyone out while we still can."
