The Word began to spread, and soon even Seth, the King level devil who are impersonating the City Lord, heard of it.
Seth came out to investigate and found that indeed, quite a few devils were missing—and all of them were Great Lord level devils.
His expression darkened.
"City Lord, the Great Lord levels... Even if they were ambushed, they shouldn't have been wiped out without even a hint of resistance," one of his subordinates said anxiously, terrified that perhaps a human cultivator at the Mahayana Stage had infiltrated.
"There's no way it's a Mahayana Stage cultivator," Seth said with certainty.
"If it were someone at the Mahayana Stage, they wouldn't be so cautious. As soon as they released a hint of their aura, we'd sense it immediately, and they would have already fled before we could even strike."
