Chapter 18: Lisa Loud
It was 3:30 pm.

"Are you nervous about your first day at work?" Rita asked. Even though she knew that legally she shouldn't let an eight-year-old girl work, Rita had long known that her daughter wasn't like other girls.

Rita gives Lisa a lunch box. The girl takes it and runs outside to get on the bus.
After about thirty minutes of travel, they finally arrived at Venom Industries.
There was a group of buildings and skyscrapers surrounded by a large wall with watchtowers and barbed wire. Which made it look like a prison.
But considering all the great inventions and secrets that lie behind those walls, it was understandable that they wanted as much security as possible.
The employees got off the bus.
Since Lisa showed up until they arrived, people did not stop watching the girl. As she entered, she was stopped by a guard.
"Stop, little girl. This is a restricted area. Not a playground."
Lisa expected this to happen. So she took out a card that was hanging around her neck.
This was her definition of an employee.
After scanning it, it was verified as authentic.
"I'm so sorry for the inconvenience I've caused you. Welcome to Venomous Industries. Dr. Loud."
"Thank you," Lisa entered the building, thinking, "Dr. Loud. I like the name."
Inside the facilities.
Newcomers to work for the company had to meet in a room, where they would be assigned a workspace based on their specializations.
Some went to the biochemistry department, some to engineering and technology, some to product development, and some to the accounting department.
Almost everyone was assigned to their work areas. Except Lisa. It was the only one that was not assigned a district.
This did not surprise anyone present. Well, everyone said with cruel and arrogant sarcasm that the girl didn't belong there. They even told her to her face.
Lisa's stoicism masked the fact that she was actually hurt by her colleagues' words. But things took an unexpected turn when Lisa's position at the company was announced. She was assigned to work alongside Professor Venomus' personal investigations.
The silence was absolute.
The professor had always been very jealous of his own investigations. Even senior scientists, who were heads of their own research departments, were not invited to participate in Professor Venomus' personal work.
The final blow that ended up breaking the pride of those present was when the professor himself invited Lisa to his private laboratory.
When the girl left the room with the professor, the new and old staff couldn't believe that the girl had a higher position than theirs.
Lisa and Venomous entered his office. Which was also a laboratory that could only be accessed through a complex code that only he knew.
At that moment, inside. Lisa marveled at the devices, the mathematical and chemical formulas, and the variety of materials that filled the space.
"This is unbelievable. I have never seen science at this level."

The next day, Lisa brought a bag of blood that she took from Lincoln while he was sleeping.

"Okay. Let's prove it." Venom placed the container on one of the machines. This was connected to a cylinder. Then a transparent dome covering the container descends.
Venom uses a code on a control panel, and the vial begins to spin.

"Professor. This is very dangerous. You must stop it now."

Venom presses a red button, and the device begins emitting an orange glow.

Lisa ran to hide behind a desk when the machine finally exploded.
Venom jumped behind the same desk while a thick curtain of smoke filled the entire laboratory.
The little scientist and her mentor waved while brushing the smoke away from their faces, fanning it with their hands.
Venom pressed the button on his watch, and the ceiling fan turned on and opened. These began to rotate, expelling the smoke outward.
Once the smoke dissipated, they both walked towards the remains.
The machine was completely destroyed, and other nearby machines were damaged. But surprisingly, the container was almost intact. The speed at which it rotated and the heat generated caused the container to deform.
If it weren't for its plastic frame, it would have been destroyed. Instead, it is stretched into a spiral shape. But the most striking thing was not the shape of the container. But inside, there was a phosphorescent blue liquid.
Venom took the vial, which was warm to the touch and very flexible; well, it wasn't cooled down yet.
When it solidified again, the scientist placed the container in a machine to analyze the liquid.
Three minutes later, the machine returned the result.
"Unbelievable."

The goth combed her hair in front of the mirror while admiring a photo of Lincoln stuck to the frame.
Lucy was staring at the picture as it started to move.
Lincoln in the photo began unbuttoning his shirt until it was completely off. He then took his hand to the back of his neck and began to move his hips while removing his belt with the other until his underwear was left behind.
A drop of blood ran down Lucy's nose when she saw that scene.
"I'll thank Haiku and Persephone for teaching me that spell."
"Can you lend me that picture to test it? It interests me how an inert image can move."
Lucy jumped back and turned to her sister. "Damn! Lisa. Knock before you enter my room."
"I apologize for interfering, sister. But I have good news. There has been progress in finding a cure for our brother's condition."
"Did you find the cure for Lincoln's eyes?"
"Professor Venomous and I think so." Lisa takes the syringe from the bag. "Just inject him with this."
Lucy takes the syringe and looks at it carefully. "Do you promise me this will cure Lincoln?"
"We are dealing with something unprecedented in the history of science. We can only..."
Lucy approached Lisa in a threatening manner and asked, "Do you promise me or not?"
"I'm fifty percent sure," Lisa replies.
"I swear to you, if this hurts Lincoln, all your knowledge won't heal you from the beating I'm about to give you."
The sound of Lincoln's horn warned Lucy that it was time to go record her show.
It was already night. A strong storm broke out.
Rita was worried about her children. But she calmed down after receiving a message from Lucy saying that they had found a place to stay for the night.
Next morning.
Lisa went to Lucy's room, hoping she had returned. But that was not the case. So while waiting for her sister, Lisa started looking around her sister's room.
It was very eerie, as all the decorations looked like something out of a classic horror movie. Black and white prevailed. With some dark purple tones.
The scientist approached her sister's bed. There, she noticed something that didn't match the gloomy atmosphere. An orange cloth was peeking out from under her pillow. Lisa took the fabric, revealing it to be one of Lincoln's shirts.
"I never imagined Lucy would have these tastes." Lisa looks both ways, not dropping her serious expression, and then proceeds to sniff the shirt. "Hmm. Testosterone."
The sound of the door handle turning made Lisa drop the shirt and hide under the bed. The person who entered was Lucy herself. In which Lisa saw her happiness for the first time in her life. Well, she's jumping for joy, throwing herself on her bed. The goth took a pillow and hugged it tightly as she buried her face with a smile. "It was the most wonderful night of my life." Lucy got up and took the new Edwin figurine that was on the shelf and started dancing with him in circles. "I never imagined that my first time could be so wonderful. And the best thing is that it is with my beloved white wolf."
"So this is what it means to be happy. I think I like it."
While Lucy was immersed in her ecstasy. Lisa came out from under the bed and stood in a corner that Lucy had not noticed.
Lucy hugs the vampire statue. But her celebration was interrupted by a sound.
"I'm glad your first sexual experience was satisfactory."
Lucy screamed and dropped Edwin's statue. She turned around and saw her sister Lisa standing in a corner of the room.
"Lisa?! How long have you been standing there? And when did you come in?"
"I've been waiting all morning for your return. I guess you didn't see me because you were so elated over what I imagine was a night of lust."
"What happened to your voice?"
"My new employer, Professor Venomus, helped me with that. His facilities have very diverse resources, even in the most ordinary cases. But I'm not here to talk about my recently corrected lexicon. Did you do as I asked?"
"Yes. Done." Lucy pulls a syringe out of her sweater and hands it to Lisa.
"Well done, big sister. You are doing our brother a great favor."
"I injected something strange, created in a lab, into the boy I loved while he was sleeping. Do you have any idea how illegal that is?"
"It is not the same as having intercourse as a minor. And I should add, it was with your brother."
"Injecting him while he slept wasn't the only illegal thing that happened in that room."
Lucy blushed, looking away. "Whatever. Is this the treatment for Lincoln's eyes?"
"I hope so."
Hearing that, Lucy approached Lisa's face, looking at her seriously. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well, so far, we've only tested it on chimpanzees, pigs, and rats. Because they have similarities to our DNA. I don't know how it would interact with the human genome."
Lucy grabs Lisa by the collar of her sweater, lifts her up, and slams her against the wall. "You tricked me. You once again exposed my brother to your scientific prowess. I should pull out your eyes so you can feel what Lincoln had to go through in these three years."
"Trust me. I feel really bad for what I did three years ago. And you never stopped reminding me. That's why my goal ever since has been to restore Lincoln's sight."

On the same day, the Loud had two news. It came with the three older sisters.

The other was more optimistic. Well, Lincoln was informed that Leni had woken up.
For the rest of the day, Lisa and her visit. Lisa made a note to see if the injection had worked.
According to Venom records, the effect should be immediate. But Lincoln was still blind.
During her hospital visit, she used one of her small drones to monitor Lincoln, an aircraft no bigger than a fly.
The little genius saw through her cell phone inside the room. But her surprise was even greater when she saw her brother and Leni having an intimate moment. So she urged her sisters, Lola and Lana, to explore the hospital.
She convinced Lola that if it was a hospital for the rich, there should be some celebrities around.
And Lana, who's playing with stretchers, was also convinced.
Because of that, the family had to look for them, so they couldn't go see Leni and Lincoln in the middle of it. But she didn't count on Luna, Lynn, and Lucy staying, and much less on what they got into.
The scene made Lisa understand that Lucy and Leni were not the only ones among her sisters who felt attracted to the albino.
Lisa left another drone outside the room. At that moment, she saw a doctor about to walk in when Lincoln and Leni kissed again. So, she took strict measures.
Using her knowledge of chemistry, she took some materials and mixed them with the ones she already carried in her pockets in small vials. She then threw them into a laundry chute, causing an explosion that thundered throughout the hospital.
As expected, the loud were expelled from the place, except for Leni, who will stay until she is discharged, along with her parents and grandparents.

After severely reprimanding the three, the girls went up to their rooms. Before going up, she saw Luna, Lynn, and Lucy on the stairs. The three gave her a thumbs up as a sign that they knew what she had done for them.
In her room, Lisa was reading one of her new books when her phone rang.
"Hello, Professor."
"Hello, Dr. Loud."
"Sir. Why did you call?"
"I just wanted to know if your sister injected the prototype into your brother. What were the results?"
"Still no improvement."
"I see. So the implantation of artificial cells does not increase the healing properties of empowerment."
"We will have to look for other ways to increase its properties."
"Don't worry. I have several samples with different genetic mixes. One of them has to be right."
"Don't worry, Lisa. I will find a way to heal your brother." Venom ends the call.
The next day, Lisa came into the office as usual.

After the blood melts in both cysts, the professor connects the probe to the tube.
The three small hoses connected to the containers fell into another bottle.

On the computer, the structure of the new compound created based on the blood appeared, compared to Lincoln's blood.

"Amazing. When will we be able to transfer the blood to my brother?"
