Yan Xia looked at her distressed state, feeling a pang of sympathy in his heart.
Yu Han stepped forward and grabbed her flailing arm. "Xinyuan, calm down," he urged.
"How do you expect me to be calm?" Du Xinyuan cried out, clutching Yu Han's hand.
"Just let me die! I don't want to live like this."
The doctor saw what was happening and walked out.
Yan Xia looked pleadingly at Bai Bing, standing to one side.
Bai Bing shook her head slightly "Wait until the X-rays are ready," she suggested.
What else could she do when Du Xinyuan didn't even react to the needle the doctors used?
Yan Xia quietly looked away, lacking even the energy to sigh.
"Xinyuan, please, calm down," Yu Han soothed, holding her hand gently.
Du Xinyuan, gasping through tears, implored, "Han, can you just hold me?"
Yu Han looked at Yan Xia uncertainly.
With bitten lips, Yan Xia turned and left the hospital room.
Bai Bing followed her out, gently patting her shoulder.
