Marietta woke up to the sun shining in her eyes, she blushed, remembering what happened at dawn. She tried to move but the pain of how many rounds they went hit and she let out a painful sigh.
She opened her eyes to see a pair of bright blue eyes that sparkled staring down at her with a smile on his small kissable pink lips.
"Morning princess."
Marietta blushed even more and hid her face on his chest because he was close to her.
Harley laughed at how shy she looked. He placed his right hand on her cheek before sliding it down to her chin and raising her face to his.
He smiled at how sweetly she looked at him, "When do you want to get up? It's past 10:00 am."
"What!?" Marietta yelled with wild eyes and immediately rushed out of bed, pulling the covers with her to the bathroom.
Harley, who had already taken his bath and was wearing his jeans but not a top, looked at her and laughed out loud.
"Careful not to fall." He called after her before getting up and went into the bathroom.
An hour and a half later, they were both done and checked out of the hotel. They went to a coffee shop to get coffee because Marietta was still sleepy. Harley didn't let her sleep till 7 am and they had a quick round when she was in the shower.
Thirty minutes later, they were on the airplane back to California.

"Zack, Zack can you hear me?" Harley asked Immediately he got down from the airplane.
"Is he answering you?" Harley asked Marietta as they were walking towards the exit of the airport.
"No, he's not and so is Lexy. Do you think something might have happened for them not to answer?"
"I don't know, but something is not right, we better hurry back," Harley said, opening the passenger side door for Marietta.

Silas pov

I kept staring out the window and thinking and asking if what Zack said was true. I didn't know. I didn't know whether to ask my Mom or not. Was she telling me the truth or not because Mom has a way of saying things that I don't quite understand? I've heard a lot of whispers, to be precise rumors going on in the pack about how my Mom manipulates people to do what she wants and will stop at nothing to get what she wants; even if it means killing someone she loves.
But I never really thought any of it was true or so, I can't keep stressing myself, "I'll just ask her."
"Ask who what?" Lolla asked to get off the bed.
"It's nothing, I was just thinking out loud."
"You can tell me if it bothers you," Lolla said, hugging him from behind.
"It's nothing, it's just some stupid stuff."
"Okay, if you say so."

A knock came from the other side of the room and then a male's voice was heard.
"Who is it?"
"Alpha Silas, your Mother asked me to calm down for you," Chris said, looking at the door and waiting for his response.
"Why didn't she just use the mind link?" Silas said, buckling on his jeans and walking over to the bed to pick up his shirt.
"Babe, do you want me to come with you?"
"Nah it's okay, I can go by myself."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, see you when you get back," Lolla said, kissing him on the lips and going to lay on the bed butt naked.
"Put your clothes on, I won't be coming back till nightfall, so you can go play with your friends or do whatever you like."
"Really, where are you going?"
"I have a meeting with the pack elders in the afternoon to talk with my Mom."
"Oh, okay then, see you in the night. I'll just freshen up and get going."
Chris didn't say anything and just stared at the closed door until Silas opened it.
"You didn't answer me," Silas said, looking at Chris.
"Sorry, Alpha, she didn't tell me why, she just asked me to fetch you."
"Okay, let's go."
"How come I don't recognize you, have you always been in our pack or have you just arrived here?" Silas asked, being a little weary of his presence.
"I have been your mother's private guard for years and don't come out to the public."
"But how come you don't follow her wherever she goes to park meetings and all that?"
"I'm always with her, but I always have a mask on."
Silas gasped in shock and turned around to look at Chris very well. "You're the guy who's always in a mask, never leaves my Mom's side, and never takes off his mask!?"
Chris laughed at how surprised Silas looked before nodding his head and saying he was the one.
"Damn!" Silas said before backing Chris and taking a left turn. "You are way more handsome than I thought you would be."
Chris blushed a little. " Thank you."
"No problem, but wait, where is my Mom?"
"She's in her office."
"Good, I took the right turn, and we're here."
Silas knocked on the door and heard a faint voice from the other side of the door, asking him to come in.
"Hey Mom, you could have just called me through the mind link instead of disturbing Mr…" Silas turned to look at Chris who was standing by the door, and asked, " I can't believe I forgot to ask what your name was. Mind telling me?"
"Chris."
"Ah, Chris. That's a nice name, it suits you, and it goes well with how handsome you are."
"Thank you Silas for the compliment."
Silas turned back to face his Mom who was looking at him with a suspicious smile.
"Why are you smiling at me like that?"
"Oh nothing, you just seem to talk to Chris freely and that's a bit amusing."
"I don't get it, I'm lost."
"Never mind, you were saying before?"
"Never mind about that, you called for me?"
"Ah, yes. I wanted to ask, how did it go yesterday with the Montgomery pack?" Thalia asked with a serious face.
"It went as planned and as you saw last night, some of the members died and some were seriously injured."
Silas wondered if he should ask his mom about what Zack said to him yesterday.
" Yes, Indeed," Thalia said, nodding her head. "I have spoken to the families of those who died and consoled them."
"So what now?"
"We wait."
"For what? So they can fight back?"
"I have my reasons for saying we should stay low for now."
"Care to elaborate?"
"We'll stay low and do self-defense for now so when the Montgomery pack makes their move, we'll be ready and hit them big."
"Wow, easier said than done," Silas said with a lazy eye.
Thalia looked Silas directly in the eye as if staring into his soul, but Silas didn't move because he was already used to it.
"How are we going to know what their move is going to be?" Silas asked, looking at his Mom seriously.
"I have planted a spy there, and she's good at what she does," Thalia said with an evil grin.

Montgomery pack

"Get off me, do you know how heavy you are!?" June yelled at Liam.
"Oh come on Princess, you can do better. Just two more pushes and you're done."
"That's for not telling us about what Thalia told you to do earlier," Lexy said glaring at her.
"I'm sorry, I don't know when to tell you guys, I was waiting for the perfect timing."
"What perfect timing, you could have just told us anyhow."
"I'm sorry it will never happen again"
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you?"
"It will never happen again!" June said lying flat on the floor.
Liam looked up at Lexy and she gave him a sign to get up from June's back before she faints or fakes fainting.
June breathed in and out dramatically before getting up.
"So what did that tell you to do?" Zack asked, speaking for the first time since they started punishing June.
"She told me to watch and report to her what your next move is going to be since they attacked first."
"She's insecure because of all the bad things she has done since she knew the difference between good and bad."
"So what are we going to do now?" Lexy asked, looking at Zack.
"We wait."
"For what?"
"Harley's return."
"He keeps trying to reach out to me through the mind link but I keep blocking him out. How long do you want us to keep blocking him out, Zack?"
"Until they return and see what happened here Lex. That's all we can do now."
"Fuck this, I'm tired, I wanna kill something."
"Damn Lex, how does your girlfriend get along with you?"
