C202: Making Friends but refusing Invites

Welcome to the official third 'world' volume, because of the sheer size of this 'world', it will be treated more as random misadventures that I do know about. The end of this arc will premier a special location near and dear to our MC's heart.
I give a brief explanation for a few things at the end of the chapter but more detail will be given next chapter so please be patient.

After 4 months of training and spending time with family, Axel had gotten a preliminary understanding of [Chaos]. It's not that he doesnt understand the function of it or what it can do but to even use more than the single ability he had unearthed would take him decades of years.
By all truths of the name, [Chaos] is the ability to uncontrollably shift something into something else. In simple words, it mutates whatever it targets in any number of ways. In a 'controlled' situation like what he assumes the original owner, Thorn, could do was to enhance a weapon with the most basic god slaying property.
The mutation has a small chance of being positive so Axel can't just bathe in the chaos energy to become stronger as he already possesses it this means he can't be mutated by it himself. Axel wouldn't be surprised that this power could allow him to change normal humans into supernatural beasts of varying nature.
As for Axel himself, due to having unearthed only one ability he 'might' be able to do these things too but the initial tests don't seem so. His single chaos ability is called [Descent of the Full Moon].
In simple details, it functions like his magic spell, Lunar Moon. he causes a full moon to shine high above Axel which boosts his power but the difference between them is much larger. The chaos spell effectively doubles his power while Lunar Moon, at full size, would make an actual new moon and only then would it reach 2x boost.
At its basic and smallest size it would be around a 10% boost. Even the one which he created during his magic fight of Ragnarok had only given him a 30% boost at most.The chaos spell clearly outclasses the regular magic spell in terms of complexity and depth of power but it comes with a negative as it has a side effect of making anyone under the light of the moon go crazy (excluding Axel the owner).
It's an ability which is useful for Axel when he is alone, including no audience. Testing this out in a world filled with zombies had made them more ravenous, faster and stronger though they had no magic power of anything of the sort in that world.
It's an ability that might be useful where he is planning to head out next as there are plenty of isolated spaces, thankfully there is a maximum range to the chaos spell.
While it's name says otherwise, it doesnt function like a proper moon so if he can figure out more about chaos in the future then he can compress this further for a higher boost and less actual chaos around him then that would be best.
As for now, he is content in his rudimentary understanding of this power and has plenty of time to study it much later so he finally departs his home and begins his travel to his next destination.
Axel once again activates his 2nd magic and begins to tunnel through a long distant gate. The walls surrounding him appear a rotating blue color, akin to a cradle for himself. Yet he can see and feel that as he gets closer to his destination, the blue shade begins to take a red shade which merges it into purple but still wisps of red flow through like flickers of fire.
As a precaution, Axel began to channel his energy to reinforce the walls of the portal he was flowing through. His usage of magic did indeed stifle the red glows as behind Axel, the last bits of blue remain. Axel can feel his 2nd magic turn half volatile the more red there is spreading. He enhanced the barrier he made with [Spirit Energy] and then began to use [Great Devourer] to feed on the red corrupting energy.
After having a taste of [chaos], Axel's resistance to foreign energy flows has greatly increased, as such similar situations like the Dungeon Spirit Gaea could never seep into his mind. The same is true for this energy which he quickly understands what it is.
Pure concentrated Psychic power.
Axel quickly understands that he can use this energy as an alternative to his own magic power in regards to casting spells. Though he has no plans to currently fool around with this energy until he gets out of the current portal rocket he is in.
He continues to devour the intruding energy until Axel spots what looks like a figure in the red purple clouds. As this figure approaches, Axel can feel that his own emotions seem to become heightened as he can nearly taste blood in his mouth but this too is weakened until Axel's own natural mental might obstructs it.
"I can smell it. The blood you spill, it pleases me. Come, join me, let us spill an endless more!!!" Veins pulse in Axel's body as it wishes to obey the command but Axel turns his back to the unknown creature. This seems to annoy them as they step closer, the red aura surrounding the figure vibrates against Axel's barrier and the portal shuttle that is his second magic. Axel can smell the blood flowing around the being.
Yet as their hand touches the barrier they pull it back as Axel absorbs a smidgen of its energy. Axel falls to one knee as his blood and veins feel like they are trying to burst out of his body, He has to call upon the divinity of victory (aisha's) to repel this sensation and properly absorb the strength he had stolen.
"Good, have more if you continue onto this path, grant me entrance to the lands beyond, allow me to bestow blissful war upon all life. There is no greater death than that of the battlefield."
Axel takes a seat to meditate but he does take a moment to look at the black armored figure covered in blood, a visage of a skull throne behind them like an illusion.
"Ya know, you're one of the cool ones from amongst your kind, I was already planning to stop by and have some fun parties with you."
The entity seems to pause at Axel's words as they sense the truth of it, they seem to shiver, but whether it is excitement for what is to come, the bloodshed he may witness, or perhaps the prospect of corrupting Axel into his ways that would unleash untold havoc across the galaxy.
"I shall grant you this moment of respect, bestow upon me the sight of your victory, then make your way to me for the greatest battlefield" The bloodthirsty being seems to grab some silver gold piece and throws it towards Axel, who allows it to pass through the barrier when he feels no energy on the item itself except the primal taint of it all.
The item in question is an obsidian black 8 pointed star with a distorted gold skull on the center with long thin teeth and 2 long horns and 2 slightly shorter ones but still angled in such a way that would make the star appear to have 12 points.

The bloodthirsty figure takes his leave, taking with him the heavy scent of blood yet what comes next is two very contrasting scents that almost makes Axel want to vomit.
The first scent brings with it a purple glow that seeks to contaminate the left side of Axel's 'bubble'. The scent itself is like sex incarnate yet Axel can tell there is so much more, just the basic sensation of depravity trying to claw into him is enough for him to directly turn himself into a eunuch and repel these sensations. The new purple akin to mutated purple elf seems to show off it's sultry body as it tempting Axel to lower the barriers.
"Oh my, so strong, so big, oh so many lovely things. Won't you let little ol me in? I'd love to have a taste of a proper champion like you. I know everything your heart desires." The purple elf lets its long tongue reach all the way to its seemingly split open belly. It waves around.
Axel gathers his energies and sends out a shockwave against this figure which only sends them sliding back. Seeing the physical/magical aspect couldn't make them leave, he chooses the verbal tic instead. "I didn't know that Nurgle's pet piggy was allowed out to play"
Axel hears two different responses in reaction to his words. The first is a shriek followed up by an attack that strikes the barrier, leaving a claw mark upon it that slowly begins to mend until it's fixed as if nothing had happened.
Yet the new flow of energy seeping into Axel is a bit more interesting as it easily merges into 3 different powers. The first is that of the Domain of Desire from Kiara, the second is the divinity of love from Syr.
The final bit goes into [Chaos], the unpredictability of all these things combined ensures Axels safety. Yet of course it can't not be mentioned that all of these powers had flowed through the Rhongomyniad to be purified before being distributed, except the chaos part, it had openly sought out its chunk of energy.
Axel is quite tempted to fight against this god further to help improve his wife's power as well as his own yet the words and actions of the third intruding form takes his full attention.
"My, how true, such a good child, already tasted death you have, my, how pure, disgusting, come come child, let grandpa give you a few snacks to help you along your journey" The tone is nice and kind, loving almost but the sheer bulky visage of the green gastly figure could make Axel have spontaneous diarrhea along with bleeding out every one of his pores.
To remedy the assault of both figures he morphs back into a slime state where their powers affect him even less. With a tendril seeping out, he waves his hand towards the purple figure and a sword orb is sent out.
The space time orb of sword energy begins to clash against the purple figure who uses their tongue and long claws to nullify each super sonic slash yet not without being pushed back each and every step.
"Your desire for battle, I can sate that. Your lust, I can handle that, your home, I can corrupt that"
"Pretty nice little homophone there but that last line ruined it, so off you go"
Axel casually creates three more which the purple figure struggles to defend against at least until multiple limbs sprout of it's body and begin to strike out at all the incoming attacks but by the time it's done, Axel had already traveled far enough away to not worry about it.
Axel turns his attention to the third when a sinking feeling spreads across his slime body, he quickly morphs back into his human form and summons the Rhongomyniad to stab through the 'bubble' where the remaining blue is. He finds a tinge of silvery blue. He wipes it away and then stabs out, which scraps against a shimmering figure that is akin to a humanoid collection of mouths, tentacle feelers and other noxious descriptions.
The figure is sitting almost cross legged, more so in a butterfly sitting position (feet connected and knees out). 2 tendrils form a circle and wrap around each other above the figure's head.
"Excellent, you did not disappoint, I consider myself to be a true fan of your work, and you have only just arrived, how delightful. I'll keep watch on your amazing journey while you are here." The monkey like figure seems to chuckle at the very thought of Axel's existence and his desire only seems to grow more due to the fact that he could not properly analyze Axels 2nd magic, nor the vast collection of 'information' contained within the 'pillar' spear.
As the single chaos god who does not seek to end the 'Game' takes his leave, Axel is left alone with the green blob of noxious energies, representing the embodiment of decay and death, he continues to wear down Axel's barrier only for it to constantly recover. Hundreds of new chemical cocktails are thrown to show new reactions. Axel would have approved of Nurgle's scientific mind if not for the fact that he really doesnt wanna be anywhere near this 'kind' grandfather.
With the [Rhongomyniad] in hand, Axel reinforces the barrier and then begins to gather a special little concoction of his own.
Gathering life force from Kaoruko's (Murasaki Shikibu) nature divinity as well as Tulip's light divinity, he creates a seed of pure life that could allow a moon to gain world wide life (with the exception of water) and he holds this orb in his hand as he stands off against Nurgle's bulk.
"Have you come to give grandpa a hug? Oh my boy, Don't be shy, I always love adding new cuties like you to my garden. I'm sure you will have a grand ol time, dipping into my cauldron." The god of pestilence holds his arms wide as if expecting a hug. Axel steps towards the edge of the barrier, preventing the chaos god from sensing the orb itself as he doesnt expect anything to be a threat to him as Axel barely did anything to the other three.
KWISH, SPLURT, "ARGHHHHH"
Axel moves to jab his hand into Nurgles chest, the pestilence corrupting and mutating his hand but Axel doesnt even have a change in expression as he detaches his arm which merges into the life seed he had just shoved next to the green gods nightmare inducing heart. Instead it's the god who cried in pain at the sudden assault but stops a moment later when he didn't find any damage even being done to him.
Axel reforms his hand while the hole closes in the chaos gods chest and then with a snap, a pulse of life flows through Nurgle. He immediately collapses on his plague filled belly. Then just a moment later, Axel bears witness to the first ever 'normal' plant grow up from Nurgle's back. This was a dandelion, once it had reached it's full growth it began to rot and die, yet it's death only causes a second pulse that repeats the process but with twice the number of 'weeds'.
Axel sends a repulsing shockwave to knock the chaos god away so his travel can finish, he will check up on 'Papa Nurgle' after some time passes.
Yet before Nurgle completely disappears in the horizon of his warp gate, Nurgle chooses to splash out a tidal wave of toxic material that actually sends his whole ride in another direction. His bubble rocket ship is sent rocking all around and who knows where until he finally stabilizes as he makes his exit out of the Immaterium.
The view for him is awe-inspiring as he is still sent rocketing out of a portal and onto a developed world. Looking behind him finds a giant pillar with a radioactive green colored runes, these runes seem to emit some sort of anti psychic force that weakens the psychic energy Axel had absorbed. Though that is not his first worry.
It's actually the flowing storm of warped space visible from the planet. It's a literal tear in space that emits a variety of colors that represent the chaos gods: red, green, purple, and silvery blue as well as any mixes of these colors.
Yet the spatial storm that serves as the gate to chaos and real space is the least of his troubles.
Hovering high above the world he landed on are two gigantic space ships. The first takes the shape of a five pointed metallic star that leaks psychic energy from the warp as it fires at the other structure. The second is a mix of stone and metal and takes the shape of a drill-like structure but at the top of it lies a proper monastery-like building.
With Axel's senses he can tell that a space marine chapter with yellow armor with a simple fist [1] marked upon their pauldrons as they dominate the fire fight against the chaos structure.
Seeing where he is and the details of one of his former fragments' memories, he calls out Ais from his world. The sword maiden wears a reforged armor much more practical than her original mortal armor under the Loki familia. Her rapier has also been reforged, it looks identical, a memento of sorts but wind attribute energy has been compressed into the sword, making it far more sharper and deadly than it ever was before.
"Have you already finished your studies?" Axel asks and Ais nods as she looks around at the war torn forestland.
"Where are we?" "Retreat, by the order of the Lord Castellan, we must reach Irnut to make our stand" As she asks this, cries of pain and fear mixed with yells of commands are heard from the north as people and vehicles rush away from the encroaching chaos army.
"YOU TWO, GET MOVING OR YOU WILL DIE!!!" some of the soldiers who ride on top of the vehicles and fire at the chaos army yell at them as neither Axel nor Ais move at all while the army approaches.
"KILL, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE" Axel and Ais are soon surrounded by a group of chaos marines from various traitor space marine chapters rush to purge him of his head.
The average size of these chaos troopers is at least twice that of Axel in his Asuran state but that was mostly demarcated in terms of height. But for the current state of Axel and Ais, they appear like towering monstrosities of various traitor chapters. Be it Plague marines [2], Berzerkerz, Noise marines, and the sorcerers of Tzeentch.
Ais takes hold of the hilt of her sword as the first chaos marine approaches her and plans to crush her directly with it's mutated foot when a line of wind flows out which knocks the marine back, yet it was not as simple as that as this first marine as well as rows more of marines and chaos insurgents fall down, their bodies split in half by the sharp wind as Ais sheathes her sword once more.
"Axel, where are we?" She repeats with a sterner tone now that she has witnessed such atrocities.

[1] The yellow armor and fist on the pauldron represents the imperial Fist Space marine chapter (Number 7), they are one of the few remaining chapters that remained loyal to the emperor of Mankind.
[2] Plague marines belong to Mortarians Death Guard who suckled onto grandpa Nurgle. Noise Marines are primarily Fulgrims 'Emperors Children' who fell to Slaanesh but there are a few random marines from other legions who belong to the cult Chaos Undivided that also pray to Slaanesh. Berzerkerz are naturally Khornes lovable brutes from the world eater Chapter under their lord Agron (who was later tricked and exiled from Khornes domain.)
Then finally there are the aspiring Psykers and sorcerers that have pledged themselves to Tzeentch, Amongst them is the Thousand Suns under Magnus the Red.
To be fair, I don't think any of the main troope from these 4 primarchs' were in Cadia as only ever Abaddon, the clone spawn of Horus is ever mentioned in the wiki but if anyone has a better source then please let me know so the next few chapters can be more accurate!
