"Alright, Mr. Zane, stop saying meaningless things and focus on dealing with the Child of Eternity. You need to come up with a way to defeat him. If we don't think of something soon, we're in big trouble," the Scarlet Witch said seriously, her tension evident. She was genuinely worried—what if something went wrong? What would they do then?
"Miss Scarlet Witch, I have an idea, but I'm not sure if you'll be willing to go along with it," Zane said hesitantly. The plan he had in mind wasn't exactly conventional. Hearing this, the Scarlet Witch raised an eyebrow in curiosity, puzzled by Zane's hesitation and unsure of what he was about to propose.
"Mr. Zane, what idea do you have? Tell me," the Scarlet Witch asked, her confusion growing. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of plan Zane had come up with, especially given his hesitant demeanor.
"Miss Scarlet Witch, to defeat the Child of Eternity, neither of us can do it alone. But if we combine our powers, we might stand a chance. By merging our strength, we could potentially take him down. What do you think of this idea?" Zane asked with a cheerful smile, his face lighting up with optimism.
The Scarlet Witch, however, was baffled by Zane's suggestion. She didn't fully understand what he meant, which only deepened her curiosity.
"Mr. Zane, how exactly are we supposed to merge our powers?" the Scarlet Witch asked, her tone filled with doubt. She couldn't make sense of what Zane was implying, and the ambiguity of his plan only made her more skeptical.
Zane's face suddenly turned a bit shy. In truth, this was something he had been considering for a while but hadn't mustered the courage to bring up until now. Faced with the urgency of their situation, he realized he had no choice but to act.
"Miss Scarlet Witch, why don't we embrace each other? That way, we'll combine our powers into one. If the two of us unite, I'm confident we'll have the strength to defeat the Child of Eternity," Zane shamelessly suggested.
Hearing Zane's words, the Scarlet Witch blushed deeply, completely taken aback. She never imagined Zane could be so audacious as to propose something like that. It left her utterly speechless.
"Mr. Zane, you must be joking. Are you just trying to take advantage of me?" she asked bluntly. Zane, caught off guard by her response, felt an awkward wave of embarrassment. All he wanted was to team up with her against the Child of Eternity, so why was she interpreting it like this? He found himself utterly at a loss.
"Miss Scarlet Witch, please don't misunderstand me. I only want to work with you to defeat the Child of Eternity. There's nothing inappropriate about this. Once we've defeated him, we can go our separate ways. The close proximity during the fight is just a necessity, and I hope you can overcome any discomfort," Zane reassured her.
The Scarlet Witch frowned slightly, conflicted. The Child of Eternity was a genuine threat to Earth, demonstrating overwhelming strength. Without combining powers, defeating him seemed impossible. Yet merging with Zane also meant sharing everything with him, something the Scarlet Witch was reluctant to accept. After all, she was a woman, and Zane a man. If Zane had been a woman, she might have agreed, but this situation made her uncomfortable.
"Miss Scarlet Witch, we don't have time for hesitation. If you keep hesitating, we'll both end up dead at the hands of the Child of Eternity," Zane urged. Then, without waiting for her consent, he moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
The Scarlet Witch, flustered and frustrated by his action, initially felt like resisting. Yet, understanding the gravity of their situation, she relented and agreed to merge their powers. Despite her discomfort, she chose to prioritize defeating the Child of Eternity.
Zane, thrilled at the opportunity, could hardly contain his joy. With their powers now united, he and the Scarlet Witch prepared to face their foe together.
The Child of Eternity, watching them embrace, felt perplexed. He couldn't fathom what they were planning and eyed them suspiciously.
"What are you two trying to do?" the Child of Eternity asked, his voice filled with confusion.
"Ha ha ha! Child of Eternity, today will be your end. Prepare to meet your doom!" Zane declared triumphantly.
Zane spoke confidently, and at that moment, an immense power surged between him and the Scarlet Witch. This combined force materialized into a colossal sword, which descended straight toward the Child of Eternity's head.
Seeing this, the Child of Eternity was dumbfounded. He could clearly sense the overwhelming energy contained within the sword. Resisting such immense power was virtually impossible, leaving him utterly frustrated.
"No!"
The Child of Eternity let out a desperate roar, unwilling to accept the sword's blow. But it was too late—he had already missed his chance to escape. The massive sword struck him, cleaving his body in two with one devastating blow.
The Child of Eternity was overwhelmed with frustration. He had just arrived on Earth, only to be defeated by Zane and the Scarlet Witch. The bitterness of his defeat consumed him. Even though he was unwilling to accept it, there was nothing he could do—he had been utterly destroyed, with no chance of recovery.
After slaying the Child of Eternity, Zane and the Scarlet Witch naturally separated. Both of them wore bashful expressions, still savoring the closeness they had shared moments ago. But with no more enemies to face, they knew it was time to part ways.
"Master, the system has detected that staying in this world no longer holds any purpose. It's time to transfer you to a new world," a mechanical voice suddenly rang out in Zane's mind.
Hearing the system's voice, Zane frowned in confusion. The timing couldn't have been worse. Why was this thing interrupting just when he was beginning to enjoy himself?
"What the heck are you talking about? I don't get it," Zane asked the system, baffled by its sudden announcement. His mind raced with questions. What was the system trying to pull now?
"Master, I already informed you. It's time to switch worlds. We're leaving the Marvel world and heading to another timeline. Please prepare yourself," the system replied.
Before Zane could process what was happening, the world around him began to spin. He felt a dizzying sensation, leaving him completely speechless. Just as he was about to develop a connection with the Scarlet Witch, he was being forced to leave. The thought left him profoundly frustrated.
