Minutes had passed, and almost all the students had already received their first missions, each containing all the relevant information.
While Edward and the girls were picking up their missions from different guild receptionists, a small commotion began to stir. Most of the students had already received their assignments and were now just standing around with nothing to do but chat with each other. That's when they started to notice something odd.
Eventually, one of the students—ranked sixth among all the common classes—approached Kayden and asked directly:
"When will we be allowed to leave? Our carriages should be waiting for us by now, Professor."
Kayden turned to look at him. "Did you not hear what I said earlier? But setting aside the doubt, anyone who's received their mission is free to go."
Some were still confused, while others had already understood that the test had begun the moment they received their mission. Voices began to rise all at once.
