The barrier stays up, but I don't know for long. Luckily, Celine is already here. She and her wolves clash with those here.
I'm tempted to let down the barrier and make a break for it, but the chaos outside is too much.
Pulling me from my head is the warmth I feel on my hands. Then the smell hits my nostrils. Blood.
"Doma?" I call out, she groans but doesn't do much else.
'Bring down the barrier.' Celine's voice rings in my head, and without thinking twice, I do as told.
She at once picks Doma up and throws her over her shoulder. Then she grabs my arm and pulls me onto my feet.
We make our way outside the chaos and into Celine's car.
As the door slams shut, I peer out the window. A part of me prays the rest of Celine's wolves will return, but another part of me knows better.
"Go!" Celine yells, and without hesitation the drive zooms off.
