Marcus arrived back at the ship and a little while after he settled back into the crows nest his den den mushi started ringing. Marcus answered it and said, "Hey Grandpa."
"Oh? Were you expecting him to call you?"
"Dad?" Marcus asked as he looked at the den den mushi.
"Yeah."
Marcus sat up as he asked, "What's going on?"
"You were right about Dress Rosa and Doflamingo. He's been making moves in the New World and will probably become a Warlord soon."
Marcus frowned as he asked, "Did you warn the royal family?"
"I did, but they think the world government will step in if something happens…"
"Idiots." Marcus said as he shook his head.
"I thought the same way, so I have a few people stationed there to help if something happens. But they won't be able to stop anything if Doflamingo's whole crew is there."
"It will be. You should try to rescue the two princesses along with Kyros and his daughter. The best time would be when the king makes an announcement about needing to collect money from everyone." Marcus said and he tried to remember what happened during the island's take over.
Dragon was quiet for a few moments before he said, "Escaping with a few people shouldn't be an issue."
"Hopefully everything works out." Marcus said as he laid back in his seat before Dragon said, "Kuma said thank you."
Marcus's eyes widened and he sat back up as he asked, "It worked?"
"Apparently it was a very close thing. I wasn't there for it, but if the boy with the Ope Ope fruit wasn't there she would have died."
Marcus let out a satisfied sigh before he said, "Tell Kuma I'm glad to hear that and to not join the Warlords if they offer it to him."
"You had another dream?"
"Yeah. Kuma joins the Warlords to help cure Bonnie and act as a spy for you. But they slowly transform him into a cyborg before they completely erase his mind and turn him into a robot."
"Cure Bonnie? They already cured her and Ginny." Dragon said with a bit of confusion.
"They did? How?" Marcus asked before he started to smile like an idiot.
"The Ope Ope user was the key. While the boy is still learning to master his skill, he was invaluable in helping remove every trace of the disease. It took Dr. Kureha, a couple of months with his help to do it, but it worked." Dragon said before he added, "They still need to recover properly because the process was brutal on their bodies. But they were both given a clean bill of health last week and no longer have to worry about that disease."
"Good. What about Bonnie's fruit? Has she shown the ability to use the Toshi Toshi no Mi yet?"
"She's a fruit user? But she's not even a year old yet…"
Marcus didn't want to go into the details so he said, "No clue. I just saw her turning into an old woman in one of my dreams and learned the fruit name."
"I'll let Kuma and Ginny know… Also Kuma will contact you sooner or later. I gave him your number."
As Marcus was about to reply, his den den mushi started ringing again. Marcus glanced at it as he said, "I think grandpa is calling me, I need to get this."
"Okay… Be safe."
"You too." Marcus said before he switched to the other line and asked, "Is that you grandpa?"
"Who else would it be brat?"
"You're not the only person with my number, you know that right?... Actually you should know that since you had to get my number from dad." Marcus said as he shook his head.
"Did that happen? Eh, whatever. It doesn't matter, I found that pirate scum you wanted to talk to."
"Jinbe's there? Can I talk to him?" Marcus asked with a hint of excitement.
"I just put it on speaker, go ahead."
Marcus frowned slightly as he asked, "You're not alone are you?"
"Of course I'm not alone, you asked me to find this pirate scum for you."
"I mean, it's not just you and Jinbe in the room, is it?" Marcus asked in an annoyed tone.
Garp glanced around the meeting room they were in, which currently had a handful of high ranking navy personnel, Jinbe, Mihawk and Crocodile. All of which were looking at him in stunned silence because he just barged into the room and stopped in front of Jinbe without a word before he made a call on his den den mushi.
Marcus took the silence on the other side of the line as confirmation before he said, "I swear it's like you and Luffy don't have a properly functioning brain sometimes."
"What exactly is going on…"
Jinbe started to ask before Garp cut him off and said, "Don't call your grandpa stupid!"
"I didn't call you stupid, I questioned if your brain worked properly… Or maybe you've been hit on the head one too many times."
"You little… You're just asking for an extra fist of love the next time I see you, aren't you?" Garp asked with narrowed eyes.
Marcus started to sweat a little bit as he said, "No, but I'm sure Luffy could use a couple…"
"No, I think…"
"Garp! What are you doing here? You never come to these things." Someone said as they cut off Garp.
Garp glanced over to Sengoku who just walked in the room with Rosinante following along. Rosinante now acted as Sengoku's aid and mostly stayed at headquarters for now while getting personal training sessions from Sengoku and Zephyr. After almost being killed by Vergo, he's been pushing himself to the limit to get stronger… Well he doesn't train with Garp because Sengoku considers that type of training torture.
Garp focused on Rosinante for a moment before he said, "Perfect timing, I need to borrow him for a little bit."
Sengoku looked towards Rosinante as he asked, "Why? And why are you even here in the first place?"
"My grandson wanted to talk with Jinbe." Garp said as he waved Rosinante over and added, "Use your power over here."
Normally Rosinante would check with Sengoku in this situation, but it was Garp asking and he wouldn't be alive today without him. So he moved over to where Garp and Jinbe were and created a sound isolation bubble around them.
Sengoku started to move towards the bubble to hear what was going on before Garp handed his den den mushi to Jinbe and said, "You're free to talk to Jinbe now, I had Rosinante make a bubble for you."
As Garp stepped out of the bubble to stop Sengoku, Marcus asked, "Really? Can he hear me too?"
"Vice Admiral Garp stepped out of the bubble. It's only me and Warlord Jinbe that can hear you now." Rosinante said as he glanced towards Garp arguing with Sengoku.
"Oh… I have some important information to tell Jinbe. Can I trust you to keep whatever I say a secret?"
Rosinante glanced towards Sengoku again as he hesitated to answer for a few moments before Marcus said, "Did my grandpa ever tell you why he was there to save your life that day?"
Rosinante whipped his head back around to look at the den den mushi as Marcus said, "I told him you would die that day and asked him to save you."
Jinbe looked down at the den den mushi with skepticism as Rosinante's eyes bulged out of his head and his mouth dropped open. Jinbe glanced up to see Rosinante's reaction before he asked, "Did Garp really save your life?"
Rosinante nodded his head as he said, "He just showed up at the best possible time and said he was in the area…"
"I saw you die in a dream and told grandpa about it. It's also the reason I wanted to talk with Jinbe."
Jinbe narrowed his eyes slightly as he asked in a skeptical tone, "You saw me die in one of your dreams?"
"Not you, someone else. But first I need Rosinante to…"
"I won't tell a soul." Rosinante said as he cut off Marcus.
"Then you have my thanks."
Rosinante shook his head as he said, "No, you and Garp have mine. I would be dead without both of you."
Marcus smiled slightly to himself before he asked, "Jinbe, do you know who Shyarly is?"
"She's famous for being a fortune teller…"
"You can think of me kind of like her, except I have dreams of the future instead of using a crystal ball."
Jinbe frowned slightly as he asked, "And you saw someone's death that involves me?"
"Yes… But before that I would like to ask if Arlong is still on Fish-man Island."
Jinbe's eyes narrowed at Arlong being brought up as he asked, "No, he just left the island with a small crew… Is he the one that's going to die?"
"Maybe… I'm not sure yet since I haven't seen what happens to him after he starts terrorizing humans in East Blue."
"I'll come stop him if he does that." Jinbe said with conviction.
"He is going to bribe people so you don't find out… But it's fine. He isn't the reason I wanted to talk with you."
"But you said he's going to terrorize humans." Jinbe said with a frown.
"And I'm already waiting on the island he's coming to so don't worry about it."
"But he is my responsibility."
"Maybe, but you have worse things to worry about. First of all, you need to deal with…"
Outside of the bubble Sengoku was being kept outside by Garp who said he would knock out anyone who tried to enter. Sengoku frowned slightly as he watched Rosinante and Jinbe both go through different ranges of shock over the next ten minutes before the bubble disappeared.
Jinbe stared at the den den mushi with a concerned look before he stood up and said, "I can't stay for this meeting. I need to go check on something."
As Jinbe handed the den den mushi back to Garp he said, "You have my thanks for letting me borrow this Vice Admiral Garp."
"Bah, I was just doing my grandson a favor."
"Why are you leaving? We were just about to start the meeting…" Sengoku said as he glanced towards Rosinante.
"Unfortunately something came to my attention that needs to be taken care of immediately." Jinbe said with a bow before he added, "I apologize, but I must leave."
Jinbe quickly left the room as Sengoku focused on Rosinante and asked, "What just happened? What did they talk about?"
Rosinante shook his head as he said, "Unless Jinbe tells you himself, I promised not to speak on it."
"As much as this whole thing has been entertaining, I have other things to do. So can we get this meeting underway?" Mihawk asked in a bored tone.
Sengoku frowned slightly before he said, "Fine, let's get this meeting underway."
Garp started to leave the room as Sengoku said, "Where do you think you are going? Take a seat."
Garp waved off the comment as he opened the door and asked, "I'm supposed to be heading towards the New World. You told me to track down that stupid pirate targeting navy ships, remember?"
Before Sengoku could respond Garp was out the door which made him sigh before he sat down. He glanced at his documents for a moment before he said, "This meeting is to discuss…"
Back with Marcus, he leaned back with a smile playing across his face. If Jinbe actually followed through with the information Marcus gave him, it had the potential to change a lot of things in the world.
As Marcus was relaxing in the crows nest someone yelled, "Marcus? Are you on the ship?"
Marcus glanced over the side of the crows nest to see Kuina and Zoro with their training swords. He smirked as he grabbed the side of the crows nest and jumped over the side. Marcus landed with a heavy thud in front of both of them before he said, "Tired of exploring?"
"We want to spar."
"Alright. Let's go to that spot over there so we have room." Marcus said as he pointed to an empty patch of land next to the dock.
