The Ripple Begins
In the hushed quiet of Shinjuku, Chihaya Mifune's tarot stand had gone dark.
The lanterns above flickered unnaturally. Her cards lay scattered, glowing with a strange shimmer, the images writhing like trapped spirits beneath the surface. She whispered prayers, but the name that rose unbidden to her lips was foreign.
"Veluria…"
The air turned dense. Her body stiffened. Something ancient, cold, and watching had slipped past the fabric of her soul—and left a thread behind.
LeBlanc – A Gathering of Fractures
At Ren's request, the Phantom Thieves reconvened at Leblanc. Futaba pulled up a spectral scan on her laptop, an arcane swirl spiraling out from Chihaya's aura.
"It's not normal Metaverse energy," she muttered. "It's... divinely encrypted. Like a spiritual signature carved into her cognition."
Chihaya sat in silence, fingers twitching as if still shuffling invisible cards.
"She calls herself Veluria," she finally said, eyes distant. "She's not of this world… not even of this cycle. She's older. Watching."
Yusuke turned pale. "The mirror goddess. The one cast out when belief was born."
Ann looked worried. "Is she trying to control you?"
"No." Chihaya met Ren's gaze. "She wants to show us something. Hidden beneath Mementos. A truth even the Velvet Room avoids."
Ren nodded once. "Then we go. Together."
Mementos – Descent to the Forgotten Gallery
The Phantom Thieves plunged into the deepest levels, led by Chihaya's trembling compass of divination. At the edge of reality, they arrived at a shattered chapel of mirrors and fog. Reflections floated through the air like whispers caught in glass.
There, nestled in a stone altar, lay a fragment of silver light—pulsing like a divine heartbeat.
Chihaya reached out. Her Persona, Sibyl Fortuna, manifested with a radiant shriek—and then her body dropped, eyes glowing.
Time fractured.
Veluria's Voice
"I am Veluria. The Forgotten Veil. The gods made truth a prison—I offer a path through the mirror."
As she spoke through Chihaya, every Thief felt a pressure bloom behind their eyes. Dream-visions crashed down like waves.
Dream-Visions: Tides of Transformation
Ren stood in a city of ash and gold. The others were gone. Above him, a mirror cracked and bled stars. A voice whispered:
"You are the fulcrum. But what if you tip?"
Makoto knelt in a shattered courtroom, her hands shackled. Sae stood beside her—crying, then burning, then smiling like a goddess.
Ann walked naked through a gallery where paintings of her wept. In each, she was someone else: a lover, a tyrant, a sacrifice.
Ryuji sprinted through a collapsing stadium, his voice lost. His old self—masculine, furious—tried to catch him, drag him backward.
Yusuke, now entirely feminine, stood before a mural of the cosmos, painting with her bare hands—each stroke a pulse of creation or destruction.
Futaba opened a book with no words. Her mother's voice echoed from the blank pages: "Rewrite me, and I'll never leave again."
Haru stood in a field of phantom flowers, gun in hand. She pulled the trigger—and a part of her bloomed.
Takemi, veiled in lab coats, walked through a morgue where every corpse was someone she couldn't save. One body opened its eyes. It was her.
Sojiro, now youthful and soft-eyed, sipped coffee alone. A mirror in the cup showed all the lives he might've lived. Some ended in flames. Some in laughter.
Sae Niijima, dressed in sleek Phantom Thief garb, walked through an inverted casino where every bet was a choice she'd refused.
Chihaya, suspended between stars and stone, floated as Veluria took her hand.
Back in the Real
Chihaya gasped, returning to her body. The altar's silver light dimmed—but not before imprinting her soul with something… divine.
NEW POWER AWAKENED:Chihaya's Persona evolved into Velureia – The Oracle of Fractured Fate. She can now glimpse alternate futures and fuse hidden Personas.
But They Were Not Alone
As the group reeled, the world around the chapel shifted. A figure emerged from the fog—a divine sentinel of order, cloaked in shattered law.
"Veluria must not awaken," it hissed. "The Mirror Path defies the pact of gods."
The Phantom Thieves raised their weapons. Chihaya stood beside them.
"I'm tired of fate being written for me," she said, glowing. "Let's break the pact."
