Mi Lu stammered because she was too nervous to speak clearly.
"But I don't want to go home now, Little Pepper, you're not sleepy either, are you?" Shen Haoxuan moved closer to Mi Lu, yet he didn't do anything.
"Who said that? I'm very sleepy, I'm really tired now. Please just take me home! I'm exhausted." Mi Lu said as she stepped back a few paces.
"Really?" Shen Haoxuan's lips curled up devilishly. "But you don't seem sleepy at all."
"Your eyesight must be poor, I really am sleepy. Let's just go back!" To prove her point, Mi Lu even yawned convincingly.
"Hehe… Little Pepper, that yawn of yours seemed… rather fake!"
Shen Haoxuan approached Mi Lu again. "Little Pepper, what are you scared of? Or are you afraid I'll do something?"
"I'm not scared, I really don't know what you're talking about, honestly, it's the holiday season, I don't want to be cursing anyone." Mi Lu raised her voice slightly, deliberately using it to cover her guilt. "I'm getting in the car first."
