Guin tried to struggle, but instead, she let the other wolf bite her other tail. Now her snow-white fur was covered in blood, and she could no longer hold back her tears from the pain.
"Give up! Death is the only way to find peace."
Peace my ass! Guin tightened her jaw and clenched her fists until her nails dug into her skin.
"Fate?" Guin snorted, wiping away the tears filling her eyes. "I will not give up." She retracted all her tails so no wolf could hurt her by biting them again.
She quickly gathered all her remaining strength into her Holy Chain. "If fate determines the end of my life, then I..." Dozens, even hundreds of chains emerged from the ground. "I WILL RESIST IT!!"
In an instant, Guin managed to chain up the wolves. She knew her chains wouldn't hold long, and time ran out. The longer she stayed, the slimmer her chances of survival.
Guin glared daggers at one of the wolves—the one that first appeared when she set foot in the Hell Dream.
