The golden apple, a divine artifact of Gaia, the Earth Goddess in Greek mythology.
The crimson fruit, one of the few treasures that can rival divine objects after the end of the Age of Gods. It's said that just one bite can grant immortality.
Either of these treasures, when given to a dying person, could instantly restore their vitality. Even if only a portion of their power was activated, they were still among the top-tier healing elixirs.
In just ten short minutes, Rin and Luvia's injuries had visibly improved. The deep coma induced by their bodies' self-defense mechanisms also began to lift.
"Ugh…"
With a soft groan, long, dark eyelashes fluttered as the girl in the red jacket and black skirt slowly woke up.
"Where am I…"
The first image reflected in her emerald eyes was of a familiar man, waving his hand familiarly and greeting her with a familiar voice.
"You're awake. Good morning—no, I mean good afternoon, Rin."
"Shinji Matou!!! Why are you here?!"
The confusion lingering in her mind suddenly cleared, and the fatigue in her body disappeared in an instant. Rin instinctively propped herself up with her hands, trying to sit up—only to find…
"Oww…"
The moment she exerted force, a wave of soreness hit her arms, and her barely lifted body fell back down, her head hitting the ground hard. She nearly teared up from the pain.
"You're in no condition to be fighting me right now,"
Shinji advised her kindly, but Rin's expression turned sour.
"No condition…"
Especially after a glance over her body, Rin's face turned pale, her expression dark and gloomy. She glared at Shinji with eyes that seemed ready to shoot flames.
"You—you—you—you—WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!"
"Do to you? I—"
Shinji was about to say, "I didn't do anything," but as he followed Rin's gaze over her body, he seemed to realize something and swallowed his words.
Rin and Luvia's magical duel had only lasted for a short time; most of their fight had been close-quarters combat. As lifelong rivals, they were evenly matched in hand-to-hand combat, just as they were in magical battles.
Rin used the martial art passed down from her ancestor, Tohsaka Nagato. Luvia used wrestling, a grappling technique passed down in the Edelfelt family. Lancashire wrestling involves grabbing and pulling, including locking joints and gripping clothes—standard techniques for grappling and throws. Unlike Shinji, who had his battle clothes made by Justeaze skilled in fine weaving, Rin's armor from Gilgamesh, while superior to battle clothes, was still leather armor with limited coverage. The areas unprotected by the armor were just ordinary clothes. So, imagine what happens when Luvia grips, grabs, and pulls repeatedly.
After multiple rounds of this, Rin had sustained over twenty external injuries, and as for her clothes… well, let's just say it was fortunate that it was winter and not summer, otherwise… bikini beach wrestling, anyone?
Even so, Rin's current appearance went beyond disheveled and was dangerously close to barely clothed. The exposed areas of her body bore signs of tearing. And thanks to the effects of the golden apple and the water of life, her external injuries had already healed… Any normal person seeing Rin in this state would immediately jump to some 18+ or criminal conclusions.
Moreover, after suffering such a harsh battle, her memory was a bit hazy. Combined with her already poor opinion of Shinji, it was no surprise that her thoughts went astray, automatically filling in inappropriate XXX scenarios. Even Shinji, who hadn't initially thought along those lines, found his imagination wandering, his heart racing.
Let's not forget that in Fate/Stay Night, Shinji Matou did have inappropriate intentions toward Rin, contributing to quite a few infamous scenes. With no one around to stop him, and now that things had reached this point, those wicked thoughts were hard to suppress.
Shinji slapped his face to shake off those thoughts and, trying to maintain his composure, adopted an intentionally sinister expression. "When it comes to this, I, Shinji Matou, am no worse than any other villain!"
He flipped his hair, half-closed his eyes, twisted his mouth, and tilted his head. In an instant, he transformed from a righteous anime protagonist into a shameless small-time villain—or perhaps even an anti-hero?
In any case, his current appearance screamed jerk. And then this jerk, licking his lips, let out a creepy laugh and slowly approached Rin.
"Still asking such silly questions at this point? Rin, you're surprisingly innocent. We're out here in this remote wilderness. I'm a man, you're a woman—a beautiful woman at that. What do you think could happen? If nothing happened, wouldn't that make you seem, well, unattractive?"
"Ugh!"
Rin bit her lip so hard that blood seeped out, her face twisted in fury.
"You—you did…"
"Of course. Haven't you noticed the changes in your body?"
Under Shinji's lecherous gaze, Rin felt utterly uncomfortable, yet she couldn't muster any strength to resist. Damn it, this bastard did…
"How dare you!!!"
"Why wouldn't I dare? What's our relationship, after all?"
Rin's teeth ground audibly. What kind of relationship? Enemies. It was completely normal for enemies to do horrible things to each other.
"You-you're not afraid I'll tell Sakura?"
"Oh? Now you're pulling the Sakura card? Why didn't you mention her earlier?"
Shinji grinned wickedly as he closed in. Rin snorted and tried to slap him, but he easily caught her wrist. She swung her other hand, but that too was caught.
"Relax, relax. Sakura won't mind she'd probably be happy about it. I know my little sister well."
"Happy? I'd like to see how she's happy! Let go of me! Let go right now!"
Rin struggled to free her wrists, but Shinji's grip was too tight.
"I'm not letting go. You'll just hit me again. Besides, why wouldn't Sakura be happy? I'm her brother, and you're her sister. Isn't that just perfect?"
This hit a nerve, and Rin's rage meter exploded. She lost all decorum and began cursing him.
"You—you shameless, despicable, filthy animal…"
Spittle flew as Rin unleashed a tirade, but Shinji only sighed and complained,
"Hey, hey, no need to insult me. I'm the victim here—you're the one taking advantage of me. Have some decency."
"Decency? Do you have the nerve to talk about decency? You—you—you—go to hell!"
With her hands restrained, Rin resorted to kicking, aiming for the most sensitive part of Shinji's body.
But Shinji, expecting this, lowered his elbow just in time to block her knee before she could land the blow.
"Don't push your luck, or I might get rough."
"Hmph, what more could you possibly do now?"
Rin retorted sarcastically.
"Tsk tsk, you don't understand how dangerous men can be, Rin. With legs like these, perfectly toned, I could play with them for a year. Quite the catch."
And then came Shinji's signature sinister laugh, the most menacing it had been yet.
PS: Rin's greatest asset seems to be her legs, right? Although I'm not a leg fetishist, so I don't fully get it. But it does seem like none of the female characters in the Type-Moon series have bad legs.
