Chapter 10 - Guns for Hands

"Have it your way." After getting bitched by a certain lioness, Gynesis found himself angry beyond most people's form of reason and logic. This man had lost his image before he could even build it up in front of the audience. After all, his first major conflict in his own fanfiction was a massive loss of grandiose proportion. Who wouldn't be mad in such a situation? If anything, being positively miffed is the most logical course of action.

And even then, why was the god's face not twisted to reflect the pure wrath running through him. Instead, the man looked... A bit happy? Odd.

The first two to arrive wasted no time in going in for lethal blows. But that didn't phase the pseudo main character one bit. Instead of being afraid, the man started smiling as he laid witness to where those sharpened blades were headed. That being his head and his heart. Instead of internal panic as time slowed for the male, he pondered in an almost dead calm.

'All those years of aura farming off screen... Gone in less than a chapter...' The ALU thought to himself as the two sabers drew nearer in practically slow motion to him, a snail's pace as his mind raced a mile a minute. 'What was it that mother said again?' He mused to himself, failing to retrieve from his memories the words his maternal figure bestowed upon him so long ago at that moment. 'They've seemed to have slipped me... Oh well, I've got the gist of it I think...' He continued to think deeply, raising his leg high enough to contest the stabbing saber sent his way enough to step over it. While simultaneously waving his hand to the side, deflecting the blade that would've bisected him had he not shifted the thing's trajectory. 'Enjoy every battle as if it were your last~'

"Too slow, too slow~!" The new god taunted as he stomped his foot down in time to plant the second sword down into the soil below, embedding the thing into soft duff below his feet. 'Freeze Frame.'

The man had made a huge gamble in assuming that he would be able to deflect one of those possibly devastating attacks, far less both at the same time. 'Based on the momentum carried by those swings, these two women would've been able to easily slice me in twain. But as I've estimated, there isn't enough force behind their swings to break my guard.' Gynesis thought internally, hitting the jets to remain out of melee distance from those Amazonian beauties that were surprisingly fast for their size.

'Yeah, there's no blocking attacks from those two though... Not if my estimates are correct anyway. If I even perfectly timed my guards against that I'd end up guard broken, just like that bitch Vinaya.' He mentally grit between his teeth, not liking the fact that those two seven foot tall women reminded him of the recently met VPU.

One of the two swifter women, the one that only got her sword deflected, found herself right on Gynesis's hind again, this time with a yellow symbol appearing above her head as she silently slashed at the man. 'Wait a minute... Those two are redheads!' He thought to himself as he ducked a swipe for his head, this time had he not moved he would've been beheaded easily. 'Those two buff beauties won't stop reminding me of that damned villainess!'

Back at the other swift female of unknown origin, she was still trying to pull her weapon out of the floor where Gynesis had planted it. By the looks of things, that sword was firmly stuck and going nowhere fast.

After evading his third attack, the ALU decided "fuck it" and went on the offensive, spinning around on his heel to attempt to deal damage on the silhouette hottest on his heels.

"I don't know where I am..." The god muttered aloud, going in for a quick jab to the swordswoman's face, landing true and pushing her back a few inches. Much to her surprise if that small pause was anything to go by. Even if the attack did zero damage. Only adding to the list of things that reminded the poor sap of that living sin.

This would still do two things; leave her open just long enough for one follow up, as well as give Gynesis a better idea of what he was up against. 'That felt like stone or some kind of metal, and not normal or reinforced flesh... A golem? Or maybe an automaton?' He thought as he went in for a swift sweep to the shins before the woman could recover. Which also landed true thanks to the sheer speed of the attack, sending her crashing to the floor with a heavy thud, making it very obvious this was not a being made of mortal or any other kind of flesh he could discern.

"I don't know why I'm here..." Gynesis stated aloud, his voice sounding a lot less coherent than it was before he was choked a few minutes ago, tying his statement in with an attempt at a curb stomp to the downed opponent.

Unfortunately, his attempt was interrupted by another horizontal swipe, this time curtesy of the naginata wielder. An attack the god wanted nothing to do with as it cleared over the distracted and still downed lithe enemy. Left with little other choice, he back dashed as it was the safest option, skidding backwards for good measure thanks to his ability and buying himself a few seconds to think thanks to the gained distance.

A quick glance over at the other cutlass wielder told the male that the other lithe golem/automaton was still trying to retrieve her embedded weapon. 'Good thing I applied Freeze Frame nonverbally to her sword, removing all momentum from it for a while and making it unusable... Otherwise she would've been here too, erasing what little windows of attack I currently have... Even if it is only temporarily, this is still a massive boon for me.' He added to his thoughts as he tilted his head to the side casually, keeping his head instead of losing it to a poleaxe to the face.

"All I know is that I must kill you." Almost as if his mind and his body were two separate entities, the man/god known as Gynesis Urahara was currently grinning from ear to ear, clearly enjoying every second of what was transpiring. In direct contrast, there was nothing much else than frustration and rage boiling within the male's mind as he went over his next moves to be made, watching closely as he was encroached by an unarmed Amazonian, accompanied by her halberd wielding partner. While the once downed swordswoman had already gotten back onto her feet. 'Why can I use my ability in here?' He questioned, finding it odd that wherever this place is, he can utilize his momentum control without hinderance.

'Fuck it we ball!' The new god shouted internally as he began laughing aloud, deciding on throwing logic out the window at the moment. 'Constantine-sensei, Vali, Mugen... you're gonna love this story when I get back...' He mentally chuckled, balling his fists so hard they were almost bleeding as he stared death in the face.

Heading his way were three different attacks. Those being two thrusts and a hook. Each with a slight delay behind each other, coming in the order of: polearm, sword, fist.

"Now come at me!" Proclaimed the new god, jumping into the air to evade the naginata with a surprising and sudden burst of speed he hadn't shown since he was up against Vinaya.

Had the Sin herself been there at that moment, that speed wouldn't have been nearly enough to even react in the slightest to her. But for this opponent that stood before Gynesis now? It was more than enough.

He'd land on the thing faster than the enemy could recover thanks to just how fast he'd fall at. His momentum wasn't enough to knock the large woman's larger weapon down, but that wasn't the plan of action in Gynesis's head. After landing on the thing, the man squatted on the outstretched weapon, taking a quick glance at his attacker directly in the eye and glaring into those cold, glowing orbs with a calculative gaze of his own. 'Yep, automaton.' He deduced before activating Freeze Frame again, disabling the prior cast in the process.

'If I had to choose between a fast opponent that can't break my block normally and two slightly slower opponents that can break my block, vs going up against two faster attackers who can't break my block and one who can... I'm taking the latter.' The deity explained to himself his own logic as he hopped off of the now frozen weapon, backflipping in time to evade the second thrust of the combo, planting his feet firmly on the ground before side stepping the follow up swipe at his ear. 'After all, that'll be the more difficult route to victory, no?' He laughed in his own head as he slid his feet across the floor, evading a sneaky hook that would've clobbered his face in had he not gotten out of the way in time.
