On cue as they agreed, Vinn and Kai looked around the villagers gathered about them to weed out anyone acting suspiciously.
The display by Xander towards Kang and his was meant to be heard by all of the villagers precisely so that the unnamed spy would panic and begin to make a move.
"A spy?" The old woman, Dawn, said. "Amongst us we know ourselves by name and history. We have all been unduly subjugated by these men. They are no spies within us."
Xander ignored the woman and instead rested his withering silver stare on Kang. Surprisingly, the man's body language did not deny Xander's allegations.
Kang looked at the villagers anxiously, and then leaned in to Xander to whisper loud enough that Vinn, Zaren and Kai could hear.
