Chapter 420 - Chapter 420

With the combined use of Aura Power, Observation Haki, Psychic Power, and the Power of the Land, Dak's perception range had reached an astonishing level.

Before gaining the Power of the Land, his maximum sensory reach covered the entire League City, including its outskirts.

After obtaining it, his perception expanded more than twice as far, using the earth itself as a medium.

Tristain was merely a small kingdom in the northwestern region of Halkeginia, one of the smallest nations on this continent.

Though he wasn't sure exactly how large Tristain's territory was, the energy fluctuation he had just sensed was within his range—south of the capital.

Dak did not immediately rush toward the location.

Instead, he levitated into the sky, using Psychic Power to fly leisurely, allowing himself time to think.

Halkeginia was essentially a larger, medieval version of the Shinobi World.

It contained six major human nations, along with numerous magical species living in separate territories.

The six nations were:

Gallia, the largest kingdom in the northeast.

Golia, the ambitious kingdom in the southeast.

Romalia, the Holy Empire in the far south.

Albion, the floating kingdom in the center.

Tristain, the small kingdom in the northwest.

Germania, the small kingdom in the southwest.

Wars constantly erupted between them.

The eastern nations (Gallia and Golia) aimed to conquer the entire continent.

The central and southern nations (Albion and Romalia) remained neutral, considering themselves above mortal conflicts.

The western kingdoms (Tristain and Germania) were locked in bitter rivalry, while the rest of the western continent was dominated by non-human magical species.

Most magical species were peaceful, including:

Cat-people Elves Lizardfolk Elementals

However, some aggressive species had allied with human nations for warfare and territorial expansion, such as:

Dragonkin Griffons Ogres

Unlike the Shinobi World, where warfare rarely exceeded 100,000 soldiers, battles in Halkeginia frequently involved hundreds of thousands on each side.

Naturally, not all soldiers were mages—magicians were rare, as only noble bloodlines possessed inherited magical talent.

The bulk of armies consisted of ordinary humans, who entered battle despite the high chance of death.

Why?

Because for commoners, the only way to rise in status was through military merit.

Those who achieved great deeds could be knighted, gaining entry into the lowest ranks of nobility.

Hiraga Saito, the original protagonist, became a knight through battlefield achievements.

"Creating a single faction strong enough to suppress the entire continent… It's possible."

Though it required a much larger power base than in the Shinobi World, the concept remained the same.

However, one major difference made it easier to enforce peace here.

In the Shinobi World, there were no rigid class distinctions—ninjas were simply a profession, not a ruling class.

Most ninjas had little authority and were often treated as disposable tools.

Moreover, since the rise of Pokémon training, the Shinobi profession was becoming obsolete.

To sustain Akatsuki, Dak had needed to win over the civilian population, invest massive amounts of resources into public perception, and ensure Pokémon Training became an alternative to war.

Here, in Halkeginia, the situation was entirely different.

The six nations were entirely controlled by nobles—they held all political power, all military strength, and at least 90% of the continent's wealth.

Commoners had no influence, no resources, and no means to resist the existing system.

Even if Pokémon Training were introduced here, it would simply become another profession, much like:

The noble class would still reign supreme.

Short-term revolution was impossible—the six-thousand-year-old feudal structure could not be dismantled overnight.

For now, commoners would still obey nobles, even if their living conditions improved.

A commoner-led rebellion was unlikely, as they lacked money, education, and military power.

Even the wealthiest merchants were dependent on noble-controlled trade and would never fund an uprising.

This was why enforcing peace here was simpler.

If the nobility could be convinced, the rest of the world would fall in line automatically.

The Plan:

"Persuade" the six nations' noble elites. Establish an independent "Seventh Power" to monitor the continent. Guarantee peace through both diplomacy and deterrence. Choosing the Right Pokémon

"Hmm… who should I summon?"

Dak needed:

A shadowy figure like Darkrai—a Pokémon that could silently eliminate nobles, proving they were never truly safe. Overwhelming powerhouses—Pokémon strong enough to obliterate armies, making nobles realize resistance was futile.

The "Seventh Power" had to be an unstoppable force, hanging over the nobles like the Sword of Damocles.

However, brute force alone wasn't enough.

This was a society where honor, reputation, and privilege meant more than life itself.

If Dak wanted obedience, he had to offer nobles what they desired:

"Let's finalize the details later… I should be arriving soon."

At high altitude, Dak glided downward, approaching a large structure below.

As the black speck on the horizon grew clearer, Dak confirmed:

"That must be the Magic Academy… and it looks like they've noticed me."

About 2,000 meters away, Dak locked eyes with an elderly figure standing atop the academy's highest tower.

Though Dak couldn't recall his name, he recognized his identity.

This was the Headmaster of Tristain Academy, one of the strongest magicians on the continent.

He had reached Rectangle-Class, the peak of traditional magic levels, but lacked the Void Element required to become Star-Class.

His situation was similar to Hiruzen Sarutobi from Naruto—once a pinnacle figure, now outclassed by newer generations.

Though a wise and kind-hearted man, he had a perverted streak, often sneaking peeks at women and indulging in vices.

Because of this, many students and staff viewed him with little respect, despite his wisdom.

In his youth, he had been sought after by both Gallia and Golia, but he preferred a quiet life and settled in Tristain, eventually becoming Headmaster.

As Dak descended, the Headmaster's expression hardened.

Even without seeing Dak's magic firsthand, he knew:

Only powerful mages could fly so high. This was no ordinary traveler.

When Dak landed, the Headmaster was already waiting, his expression serious.

"Greetings, Mage."

"My name is Dak," he replied with a smile.

"Welcome, Master Dak. May I ask what brings you to Tristain Magic Academy?"

Seeing Dak's friendly demeanor, the Headmaster slightly relaxed—at least, this visitor didn't seem hostile.
