Chapter 430 - Chapter 430

"So big! But so cute! It looks like such a gentle familiar."

"I've never seen a familiar like that before."

"It must be a familiar that lives in water, right? A Water-type? Can it even fight properly on land?"

Lapras, who had just arrived in this new world, paid no attention to the chatter of the surrounding humans. No matter where she went, she was always the center of attention, so she had long grown used to it.

Lapras calmly sensed the energy of this world.

Then, something magical happened.

Out of thin air, several water spheres appeared, merging together to form a large, oval-shaped water platform that lifted Lapras into the air.

"Hmm, so it can work like that, huh?"

Dak was just as surprised by what he saw.

Lapras had created a mass of water beneath her body and was controlling it to float herself in the air.

"Let me introduce her to everyone. This is my Pokémon partner, her name is Lapras, and she's a female."

Dak didn't dwell too much on this.

After all, this was an incredibly easy thing for Lapras, who held the title of the 'Ice God.' It was just that Dak had been treating her like an ordinary Lapras.

Among all the 'Lesser Gods,' Lapras' strength wasn't particularly impressive. She was only slightly stronger than Raikou, Suicune, and Entei. Within the scope of secondary gods, Lapras was still considered relatively weak.

However, in this magical world, Lapras was definitely worthy of being called a 'God.'

"Oooh~"

Lapras clapped her front flippers together, splashing water droplets everywhere.

"Wow! Such a beautiful sound!"

"I'm so jealous of Teacher Dak, having such a cute familiar."

"Wait, didn't Teacher Dak just say 'Pokémon'? What's that supposed to mean?"

Some students noticed Dak's choice of words and immediately asked.

By now, most of the students had already brought their familiars over.

After all, attending a 'Familiar Breeding' class without their familiars would be too embarrassing and would harm their noble image.

Out of the sixty to seventy students present, not a single one had a familiar from the same species.

Dak could tell from this that the number of magical species in this world was likely very high.

If he were to compare them to Pokémon,

It would mean that this world was filled with all sorts of creatures possessing the attributes of Fire, Earth, Water, and Flying.

Additionally, a few teachers had arrived as well.

These teachers didn't belittle Dak just because their teaching experience was longer than his. Instead, they humbly brought their own familiars to attend the class as listeners.

"First of all, I need to explain something. Lapras here is not a magical species native to this world, but one that comes from another world."

"Another world?!" ×N

Dak's words left everyone astonished and in disbelief. Many of the teachers shared the same reaction.

However, a few people lowered their heads with shocked and contemplative expressions.

One of them was Osman, the headmaster of the Magic Academy, who was standing at the farthest edge of the crowd.

"Yes, in that world, there are all sorts of special species with various attributes. They are collectively known as Pokémon. In essence, they aren't much different from familiars. Lapras is one of them, and her attributes are Water and Ice."

Dak nodded and then looked at Lapras. "Lapras, use Hail."

Hail, an Ice-type move that changes the weather, causing it to snow continuously for a period of time.

If Lapras were to use this move at full power, the Tristain Magic Academy would experience nonstop snowfall for an entire year.

However, just for the purpose of demonstration, it didn't need to be that powerful.

"Ooooh~"

Lapras didn't hesitate.

A bluish-white sphere of energy formed in her mouth and shot into the sky, where it burst into countless glittering particles that scattered throughout the air.

In the students' eyes, the sky rapidly dimmed as layers of thick snow clouds gathered above.

It hadn't even been five seconds when snowflakes started gently drifting down.

"It's really snowing."

Tabitha reached out her hand and caught a snowflake.

Watching the tiny, white crystal melt into water in her palm, her calm expression finally broke. She stared at Dak and Lapras, her mouth slightly open in shock.

"It can change the weather?!"

"Is this really something a familiar can do?"

"How long will this snowfall last?"

"So, it really is a familiar from another world."

Now, even the teachers couldn't remain calm. They squeezed their way to the front, each with many questions they wanted to ask.

"Everyone, please calm down. This lesson is long, and I will explain everything slowly."

Dak raised his hands to quiet down the crowd. As the commotion gradually subsided, he looked up at the sky.

"This move is called 'Hail.' As you can see, it appears to be nothing special on the surface."

"But in reality, under this kind of weather, all Ice-type magic effects will be strengthened to 1.5 times their original power."

"In addition to the Ice-type move Hail, there are also Fire-type Sunny Day, Water-type Rain Dance, and Earth-type Sandstorm — all of which have similar effects. Pokémon from that other world can also learn such moves."

With just one statement, Dak made both the students and teachers develop a longing for the Pokémon of another world.

After all, these kinds of moves were simply too powerful.

For the seafaring people of this world, weather-changing abilities were mostly useless, with only a few navigators skilled enough to take advantage of weather changes.

But for the people of the Shinobi world and the magical world, the implications were completely different.

The ninjutsu and magic that they themselves practiced could be enhanced by these weather-changing moves.

"Teacher, how do you know there are other Pokémon with different attributes in that other world? Did Lapras tell you that?"

A curious student asked.

Others felt that this question was rather dumb.

If not from Lapras, then where else would Dak have learned about them? Unless...

"I'm from another world myself."

Dak carefully considered his words before making that statement.

He figured that eventually, the two worlds would be connected. It would be incredibly awkward if, in the future, these people found out that their teacher was actually the Pokémon League Champion and even a 'Creator God' of the other world.

So he decided to reveal part of the truth, while keeping the rest concealed.

This way, he wouldn't be considered a liar later.

Everyone: "?"

"No way. How can another world even exist?"

"I don't believe it."

"But if it's not from another world, how do you explain the Ice-type familiar? There's no way such a creature exists on the continent of Halkeginia."

"Exactly! And if not from another world, how could someone develop an entirely new Ice Magic system? We've been trying for over six thousand years without success."

"Now that I think about it, I was already wondering why someone as amazing as Teacher Dak was completely unheard of before. So that's the reason!"

Hearing Dak's explanation, the students and even the teachers divided into two camps, nearly breaking out into a heated argument.

"Another world does exist."

Just as Dak was about to say something else, an unexpected figure stepped forward to speak.

"The Headmaster?"

"Yes, hello everyone."

This time, Osman wore a rare expression of seriousness. He walked over to Dak's side and turned to face the crowd.

"There's something I've never told anyone before."

The audience fell silent, eager to hear what the Headmaster had to say.

"It was about fifty years ago. I was around twenty years old at the time."

"Back then, Tristain was at war with Germania. I was originally a commoner, but I accidentally awakened a powerful magic talent. So, I decided to go to the battlefield to earn merits and use them to gain noble status."

"During one forest skirmish, our magic squad was ambushed. Our formation was quickly broken, and we were forced to scatter into the woods."

"At that time, four 'Triangle-level' mages were chasing me down. I thought I was done for. But then, out of nowhere, a man appeared and saved me using a powerful staff."

"I was very grateful to him, but he was severely injured and clearly on the verge of death. Before he died, he wanted to tell me something, but I couldn't understand his language at all."

"In the end, I could only make out one sentence: 'I am not from this world.'"

Osman paused, lost in the memories of that moment, before continuing:

"From that day onward, I left the battlefield and began searching for more information about this matter. I thought it was just a one-time occurrence."

"But... I truly found traces left by other 'people from another world.'"

"It seems that our world occasionally has people from other worlds who arrive here by accident and are unable to return. They end up spending the rest of their lives here."

"Although I don't know much about them, I can confirm that the 'other world' Teacher Dak mentioned truly exists."

When Osman finished speaking, he lifted his head and looked at everyone.

Both students and teachers wore stiff, bewildered expressions, clearly unable to accept such an idea in such a short period.

Even Dak's face looked a bit strange.

Because the 'other world' Osman was talking about was Earth, while Dak was referring to the Pokémon world. The two were completely unrelated.

But Dak had no intention of explaining that. This actually saved him the trouble of making a long-winded explanation.

"Based on my observations and research since arriving in this world, I have discovered that the energy systems of both worlds are essentially the same. Therefore, after a bit of study, I was able to easily create what already existed in the other world: Ice-type energy."

"The existence of familiars here is actually no different from Pokémon in that other world. People and Pokémon coexist harmoniously, relying on each other, growing together, and living their lives side by side."
