Gu Zichen's gaze paused.
"If you weren't so cold-blooded, you wouldn't have made it this far," Qiao Xiguan explained to herself, then suddenly asked as if she had remembered something, "Does Ye Wu's return mean that the base has already started taking action against you and Wa Da, Yin Xiang, and the others?"
"Pretty much," Gu Zichen nodded.
"Then will you be in danger?" Qiao Xiguan asked.
"What do you think?"
"Will it implicate me?" Qiao Xiguan continued asking.
Gu Zichen silently looked at her.
"As I suspected, it will implicate me," Qiao Xiguan said in an understanding tone, then seriously added, "You'd better not let me die too soon, I still have a lot to accomplish."
Gu Zichen's face was starting to twitch.
"Did you hear me? At the very least, let me kill Qi Lingfeng before that," Qiao Xiguan said earnestly.
Gu Zichen looked at her, "I'll help you deal with Qi Lingfeng."
