Seeing the Dragon Hunting Crossbow Bolt lodged into its claw, Caledo roared madly, though deep down, it was already prepared to turn tail and flee.
However, it quickly noticed the movements in the nest but found no trace of any enemies.
With lingering fear, it raised its head to examine the sky, confirming that no clouds were obscuring any potential threats.
It sensed that the retreat passages and the Array in the cave hadn't been activated, yet unwilling to abandon its wealth, it charged inside with gritted determination.
"Roar...!"
A deep and distant roar echoed from far away.
Emerging from the Teleportation Array, Councilor Caledo shrugged nonchalantly and said to Aicharn beside him:
"Get ready for the show; it won't be long before Caledo goes for reinforcements."
Examining the Dragon Egg in his hand, Aicharn nodded eagerly with anticipation.
