Those Blackscaled Lizardfolk who followed these noble traditions managed to survive, while those half-breeds dominated by the Black Dragon's nature, even if they were her own kin, would be reabsorbed into her stomach for reshaping.
To survive, these Blackscaled Lizardfolk naturally did everything possible to disguise themselves, to restrain their desires, even using magic to alter parts of their innate nature—thus creating the present Blackscaled Lizardfolk, completely centered around the Lizard Queen.
