After reading through the entire book, it still brought Gaven considerable gains, many of which were teased out of the minutiae. It is likely that Mage Valo, when writing, did not notice their value, as his circumstances were not the same as Gaven's. He merely observed everything around him as a traveler, indifferent to good, evil, or business opportunities, at most building friendly relations with some of the locals.
But Gaven is different. His current position dictates that the places he has passed through are not merely places he has traversed, but places where he intends to leave his own mark.
He does not plan to go to the capital of the Komeer Kingdom, Susar, as a visitor, but as a Conqueror, not with a powerful army, but with powerful financial resources.
