Chi Xiaoyu held Xiao Guai and walked over to sit by the sofa before she noticed something was amiss.
Turning around, she saw Gong Xize wearing slippers and holding a long knife to Yeh Cangqiong's neck, his face full of menace.
The knife must have been taken from the kitchen; it was the same one she normally used to chop watermelons. Under the light, it looked particularly chilling.
"Put down the suitcase, and you can get lost!" Gong Xize said coldly.
Yeh Cangqiong wasn't afraid to die, pushing forward with the knife still at his neck, as if he was oblivious to the threat.
"Yeh, I'm telling you to stop. Take one more step and I'll kill you!" Gong Xize glared at Yeh Cangqiong with rage-filled eyes.
The atmosphere in the living room instantly became very tense.
