Madeline screamed for the tenth time. Her voice pierced through the quiet night. She was tied up with strong ropes and chains inside the Solarium glass house.
"Please, Sebastian, hear me," she begged, her voice hoarse from screaming and thrashing. "I beg you, do not keep me away from Draven." Sweat clung to her skin, but in the midst of her distress, the full moon rose, its light pouring onto her hair, which glowed with an ethereal effect, brightening the glass room.
"No," she whispered, tears shimmering down her cheek. She had grown increasingly intimate with Draven, and their shared past lives had only strengthened their bond. How could she abandon him now? Who would stand by him after his affliction was cured? Once he became the most powerful vampire to ever live, who would remain by his side?
