As she looked at the decidedly upset faces around her, Celia had a moment of panic.
What if one of these men decide to report me to Tobin and repeat my very unflattering words to him?
Well, they all dragged me here. If one of them tries to betray me, I'll just tell Tobin I only came here as a spy, to see which of his advisors were disloyal enough to meet behind his back.
"I expect what the new king will value the most in those that surround him will be blind loyalty." Celia continued. "Those men that make him feel comfortable as opposed to challenged."
"He doesn't want advisors at all then, despite his very tender age. He just wants mindless parrots." one of the men grumbled, slapping his palm against the tabletop.
"Or you merely make him think he's getting parrots, when he's actually not." she shrugged. "If you want Tobin to do something, plant the seed of an idea in his mind, then step back. Let him think it was his brilliant idea to begin with."
