The radiant dragon began to dissolve into a stream of ethereal light, spiraling down and returning to the dragon-scale gloves. Jian flexed his fingers, feeling the dormant power settle back within him.
"Ahh... well... that's embarrassing," Jian murmured, scratching the back of his head.
From the distance, Harvick and Eirik approached cautiously, their steps slow and hesitant. Eirik's voice trembled slightly. "S-Sir... you alright?"
Jian Gang turned to them, his usual confidence returning. "I'm fine. What about you two?"
