Chapter 672 - Chapter 672: Wrong Guess and Voldemort's Test

Andy raised an eyebrow and smiled without much concern.

Magic that is deadly upon contact, such as the Killing Curse, is actually very well-suited for assassinations.

First, you need to disguise yourself as someone close to the target using a Polyjuice Potion and then ambush the unsuspecting target. No one can defend against such an assassination.

Of course, all of this is just Andy's own speculation.

Voldemort's train of thought... Andy really can't figure it out.

Including Andy's previous series of speculations, they are just Andy's subjective speculations.

"That's all I can think of..."

Andy said, stretching out his hands. "Harry, don't worry too much. When Professor Dumbledore returns, you can ask the professor for his opinion... He is privy to information that Death Eaters have."

Harry swallowed involuntarily, his face turning pale.

How could he not be worried?

After hearing Andy's reasoning, he felt like he could be assassinated at any time.

Ron also had a look of fear on his face.

Although he was not on Voldemort's hit list, he would be targeted if Harry encountered an assassination attempt. If Harry is going to be assassinated, the assassin will definitely kill him to take his identity.

Andy couldn't help but smile as he watched their expressions gradually change.

He was pleased to see that they were scared!

"You two chat; I'll go back first," Andy said, stretching his muscles before walking straight towards Hogwarts Castle without waiting for a reply.

Harry and Ron looked at each other.

"..."

What's there to chat about?

***

Back in the library, Andy cast a silencing charm as usual.

"Trouble?" Hermione put down her book and looked at Andy curiously.

"It's no big deal..."

Andy said in a relaxed tone, "Harry had another dream. He dreamt of Voldemort holding a meeting and killing someone...the owner of Borgin and Burkes."

"Borgin and Burkes?" Hermione frowned slightly.

"Yes, him!"

Andy nodded and explained, "I mentioned before that Borgin and Burkes have a Vanishing Cabinet that can connect to another Vanishing Cabinet in Hogwarts, right?"

"Voldemort may be planning to use the Vanishing Cabinet to sneak into Hogwarts."

Hermione's brow furrowed. "We haven't found the Vanishing Cabinet at school… If it's not in the castle, there's only one place it could be."

Andy raised an eyebrow. "You mean the Room of Requirement?"

"Mm-hm!" Hermione nodded.

Andy thought about it for a moment. It was indeed possible.

Hermione continued, "We can get there first and find the Vanishing Cabinet and destroy it…"

Upon saying this, Hermione suddenly paused.

"If the Vanishing Cabinet is in that rubbish dump of the Room of Requirement, then it may already be damaged."

Hermione thought for a while and said, "Andy, think about it. If the Vanishing Cabinet is not broken, then the Death Eaters should have infiltrated using it a long time ago... right?"

"But if the Vanishing Cabinet is broken, someone has to fix it!"

"Andy...the Death Eaters may have already got in."

"Or someone has been recruited by the Death Eaters!"

Andy raised an eyebrow at this and chuckled, "That's a good point. I think that might be the reason why Professor Dumbledore has been so hesitant to take action!"

"He wants to save his students!"

To be honest, as a Headmaster, Dumbledore might tend to be a bit biased towards Gryffindor. For the sake of completely eliminating Voldemort, he also treats Harry differently, giving him some convenience.

But he does love his students.

Take Andy, for example... Andy has actually acted out of line many times, but Dumbledore has always been more inclined to persuade him than to use force.

This kind of character is really admirable.

How many people who claim to be righteous condemn others without considering the facts, just because they feel that their existence will disrupt the order?

Judge by deeds, not by character and heart.

From this point of view alone, Andy actually admires Dumbledore quite a bit.

"Does Professor Dumbledore have a plan?" Hermione asked curiously.

Speaking of plans, Andy was quite helpless.

"He wants to find out Voldemort's secrets...from Professor Slughorn."

Andy spread his hands. "Professor Slughorn was Voldemort's House Head, and Professor Dumbledore believes that he knows the details of the Horcruxes and their number."

Hearing this, Hermione hurriedly asked, "How will we get the information? Can I help?"

"Er…"

Andy rubbed his nose. "You can help by doing well in Potions. Professor Slughorn wants to start a Slug Club, so let's find a way to get in there first!"

"Leave it to me!" Hermione nodded slightly, looking very confident.

She was never one to be challenged by schoolwork.

"Have you picked out the books?" Andy asked.

"Hm."

Hermione pushed over a few books. "There are so many here; I've only picked out these ones for now. Go ahead and browse through them first!"

"Thanks!" Andy said.

He picked up the top book.

'One Hundred Different Uses for Magical Materials'

If he wanted to analyse Voldemort's arm, he first had to learn all about analysing the properties of magical materials.

Now that the study of alchemy is on the right track, just practising carving runes can slowly generate [Potential points].

Material science is also one of the introductory courses in alchemy because alchemy involves not only the use of runes but also the transformation of matter.

The Philosopher's Stone can turn common materials into gold.

Andy quickly got into study mode after flipping through the book.

As the days passed, Hogwarts remained calm and undisturbed. Under Dumbledore's protection, Hogwarts was free from the chaos of the outside world and had become a rare safe haven in the wizarding world.

It was as if the school was cut off from the rest of the world.

The young wizards could only obtain information about the outside world from letters from home and the Daily Prophet.

Twenty-third day since the start of the school year.

Early in the morning, flocks of owls flew into the Great Hall.

Andy also received a letter from home and that day's edition of the Daily Prophet.

"Any news?" Hermione immediately leaned over.

"You read it first!" Andy unfolded the newspaper and handed it to Hermione, while simultaneously opening the letter from home.

"Andy!!"

Hermione exclaimed, "You have to see this!"

"What is it?" Andy glanced over the headlines.

It was a huge motion picture, showing the Death Eaters and the Aurors in a chaotic battle. Above the picture, a huge black headline read: Death Eaters Attacks Diagon Alley, Aurors Overwhelmed!

Andy's expression changed slightly.

Why did Voldemort attack Diagon Alley?

What good would it do him?

Before Andy could figure it out, he heard Hermione continue, "Andy, the Dark Lord made a personal appearance, but...but Professor Dumbledore...he didn't show up."

Dumbledore didn't show up?

Andy was stunned, but then he quickly caught on.

To investigate Grindelwald's information, Dumbledore should be on the other side of the European continent at the moment.

Voldemort's attack this time might be a test.

He wanted to know if Dumbledore had really left!

As for Andy... although Andy was also a huge deterrent, Andy IS a student. Due to Hogwarts's school rules, even if Voldemort was out there causing havoc, it would be difficult for Andy to go and help.

Andy's brow furrowed slightly.

How did Voldemort know that Dumbledore had left?

Who gave him the information?
