Formation and Technique may seem similar, but they are vastly different in reality. Techniques are adaptable, with each Technique capable of manifesting millions of effects depending on the Magician. However, Arrays are different, even with significant disparities among Array Masters, they are always prepared in advance.
Since it is prepared in advance, it tends to be rigid, not quite suitable for impromptu combat. When Shen Yuan was in Capital City, he could dazzle all around, making a group of old Magicians unable to cope, mainly because they had rarely seen such an Array Master.
