5 Years have passed since Lili formerly known as Bruce reincarnated into this new medieval world. And for Lili these years were extremely confusing to begin with. To suddenly go from a rough grown mans body into a small sensitive babies body was weird.
Especially as one moment he had been within a loud shootout bleeding to death with Frank, and the next thing he knew he was within a peaceful castle. Being surrounded by so many soft fabrics, maid's, new parents that were nobles, and just such a strange new environment felt so strange.
Especially after having fallen a sleep and waking up again he had found his memories of his previous life beginning to clash with his present baby self. All his feelings and senses seemed to have been heightened, and completely new. The feeling of soft silks and velvets around him, the smell of fresh flowers, and the sounds of the castle maids speaking in hushed voices, distant laughter, the crackling of the fireplace, all felt so overwhelming. It all felt like he was in a dream, it was so unfamiliar and for a long time his mind just struggled to come into terms with it all.
But most of all for a long time she had felt saddened by all that she had lost. No more could she move independently, or even speak. Whenever she needed help or attention from others she had to start crying or making stupid noises to gain their attention. But more than anything she felt so frustrated at the uncertainty of this situation, the uncertainty of not knowing what had happened to herself or Frank.
She so badly wanted to see him again, to know that he was alright. Reborn into this new world or not just didn't feel right, not if Frank wasn't here. After all it was because of her that Frank had died and she needed to somehow make that up to the man, she wanted to make it up to him.
To imagine Frank having to lose his house, his wife and soon to be child and the future with them just because of her own stupid mistake felt so wrong. Just how could she ever make it all up to the man?
However during her baby years she did find much joy as well. After all being a child with many maids and a loving family around does have its perks. And she especially took joy in suckling on her mother's large and soft breasts. They were huge to her like big pillows, and they indeed were big like F cups or something, plus on her mother's petite body they looked even bigger, and had a nice jiggle to them as well.
Though she strangely didn't find herself taking any dirty pleasure from them at all, her body was simply too young for that. Instead she used them a lot in hopes of growing strong and big as fast as possible.
Being conscious of her actions at such a young age, she had already decided to use her time wisely. She would make sure to use all her waking hours in the best way that she could. First of all she would make sure to eat plenty, sleep plenty, and train her mind and body plenty as well in her early years to become the best that she could be.
Plus each morning she had begun checking her lower half in hopes of finding her manly lower half, but thus far even after drinking as much milk as she did and after doing some exercises as well she still hadn't found it to her dismay. Despite this she wasn't going to give up hope, never.
But more importantly in her early years she learned that she was actually the second daughter in her new family. Although the first had sadly died early on because of a harsh fever so technically she was now the first daughter.
Also she learned that her name was Lili Westfield. Although the name wasn't all that manly and not really to his liking it did have a nice ring to it so he decided to accept it for now, as she didn't have her lower half just yet.
And speaking of her family, the Westfields were apparently extremely high ranking nobility on the western most edge of the kingdom. But to be more specific their family was actually of the Duke rank, a rank that was right under the royal family and as such she might even be able to one day marry a princess. Although her family was apparently aiming more for her being married off to a Prince, but that wasn't really all that important for now.
And not only were they of the Duke rank they were also extremely wealthy. Their lands were fertile, held many valuable mines and they were next to the sea giving them access to a lot of fish.
Although in most cases this would also mean access to overseas trade but apparently their kingdom was the only human kingdom in the world.
But the specifics of this was still quite vague to her as she hadn't yet gotten her hands on any books.
But most importantly to her was the fact that she actually had a loving family for the first time in her life.
Her Father strangely held the same name as her partner in her previous life. Her father was Frank Westfield a gentle and fair ruler that as far as she could say was extremely loved by the people, or at least the servants. Frank was also as a Duke a leader of the Dukedoms armies whenever they were called to war, which luckily hadn't yet happened.
Her mother was Isabel Westfield a extremely beautiful and kind mother that almost never left her side and quite obsessively always kept an eye on her, for some reason. But she didn't mind this at all.
Then there were her two brothers. Ford Westfield being eighth years older than her was the eldest child in the family and the next in line to the title and land. He also was quite distant and not all that talkative at least in her presence. Also she had heard from the passing maids that he was also apparently a genius in pretty much everything he did which was quite cool to hear for her.
Then there was the second younger brother named Felix Westfield. Unlike Ford, Felix was quite a open and cheerful of a person. Everyday whenever Felix had time away from his studies he would come and play with her. Although as a baby the playing mostly consisted of him carrying her around the castle and gardens showing her all sorts of things. And wherever she was taken by Felix mother Isabel would not be far behind as she kept on following them.
And speaking of the castle it was huge and beautiful. However it wasn't huge like some massive Royal mansion of the later periods that would be like a small town in size. No this was more like just a castle a top a sizable hill with walls around some gardens, and then in the center was the main castle building where they lived.
It held over 100 people in it. Soldiers and servants included. In the outer courtyard build into the walls were the soldiers barracks and a few other buildings, while the servants stayed in the castles many round towers which held many nice rooms.
As for the inner most parts of the castle they were meant for their family, guests and Fathers business meetings and occasional parties.
And while her first few baby years were Informative the real information only started to come to her once she turned 3. By then she was already capable of walking, talking and reading. Although the reading part she managed to somewhat keep hidden as not to stand out too much.
Luckily for her this Kingdom called the Kingdom of the Dawn used the English language and alphabet from his previous life. Most likely this was the reason for so many familiar names from his past being present here.
Also one late night as she crept out of her crib, and sneaked her way past the guards and into the castles Library. There she came a cross a book containing the kingdoms history.
According to it humanity had come upon this world from the stars long ago, upon ships of metal the size of cities.
And with their coming the world had been shaken and burned, many people had perished also, but from the ruins of their metallic ships they had then eventually emerged and begun planting new seeds upon the land. And soon villages were created and civilizations emerged.
However this world was not an kind one at all as our ancestors had in the past thought. Deep within the deep oceans dangerous bloodthirsty sea monsters lay in wait for any travelling vessels emitting too much light in the night. Thus all ships traveling on the open sea must never turn on any lights or they will be set upon by gigantic sea monsters. Also close to the shore fish people of many different varieties lurk attacking any unprepared people, mostly fishermen though.
Although from father she had heard that the fish men near Westfield had been killed and driven out long ago.
But any way the book also talked about dog-faced small men, blue trolls, bear people of the north, lizard men of the swamps and much more. From the book she could surmise that this world held many threats, especially in the plant life and disease department that had not been kind to the earlier humans who came here.
But despite all these threats their ancestors had managed to survive and over time form villages and towns. And then just about 235 years ago Arthur Brightmore an extremely special man, a man said to have wielded the light as his weapon and he'd even been able to grow people's limbs back.
That man had created the church of light, he also founded the city of dawn and from there united all of humanity and formed the Kingdom of the Dawn.
Reading this part Lili wondered did this man really possess magic or possibly just advanced technology. Of course father said that within the church paladins and priests could do minor healing spells to heal people, but never had she seen those spells being used herself, so she held her doubts.
Nonetheless, with Arthur's leadership the kingdom managed to finally secure its borders by driving away all hostile races and creating 3 powerful mountain fortresses to keep away the darkness.
Each fortress defended it's own mountain path. One was placed in Westfields neighboring Dukedom to defend the southern mountain path blocking the trolls of the southern jungles from raiding the kingdom.
While one was placed in the Eastern mountain path, to hold the lizards of the eastern swamps at bay. Vile human eating creatures they apparently are, quite smart and organised as well, unlike the more savage trolls.
And lastly the northern fortress situated far to the east of the capital it defended the northern passage way against the Swarms of furry humanoid creatures of the north. Although from them hardly ever threat's came, but due to the coldness of the northern mountain's men don't usually adventure there or try to conquer new lands there.
But despite these accomplishments of humanity it was all a bit too late. As by this time most the knowledge that the first people arriving here had held had already disappeared as had most of their number.
Now the Kingdom held only about a population of 1 million people and had reverted back into an medieval castle society ruled by a single king, and three Dukedoms with their own little lords.
To Lili this sounded like nothing more than a complete dictatorship and that was not good. Also the place of women was quite low in society, the same as it had been in our medieval history.
However after having read most of the history Lili could only close the book and sigh out in relief. As fragile as humanities position on this world might have seemed they at least weren't on the verge of some major catastrophic event, not one that she could at least see.
Thing's over all seemed stable, she was rich, her mother Isabel was from the Eastern Dukedom of the Lionheart's, which meant that their families position was strong. Much like the Westfield's the Dukedom of Lionheart held great prestige, their own mines and some good farm land as well.
Plus Lili had an older brother who was a genius meaning that he was going to do a great job at governing their lands in the future, and his younger brother was ok as well.
All this meaning that essentially she didn't really need to do anything. She could just lazy around and do whatever she wanted to do. She could for instance come up with some great technologies, become famous because of it and live the rest of her life in comfort and peace, no police shootouts.
But as time went on and she finally had turned five reality struck her hard as she was made to study. She actually needed to start taking lessons and not just any classes but lessons that would apparently make her into a fine lady of a household one day.
She tried to argue for equality and fair treatment. She argued that she too deserved to take the same classes as her brother's did, fighting with a sword, learning how to govern a territory, and most of all warfare, but all her requests were denied.
Instead she was made to practice more reading, writing, actual needlework, dancing, art, and most dreaded of all to her was etiquette. Why did she have to learn how to walk properly, how to say hello, bow, or how to eat lady-like at a table?
It just wasn't fair, she wanted to learn how to fight and do cool things. She didn't want to paint, dance, and do poetry and all the other things. However later on she was supposed to start learning about history, geography and medical knowledge which sounded nice. But she would also need to learn about household management which she was quick to complain about.
But despite her best efforts she had failed to convince her father and especially her mother at all. All she got was punished for her efforts. First it was her being locked within her room, then she lost her teddy bear, and next mother started showing her pictures of boys that she could choose to be her possible future bride, and so she begrudgingly decided to do as her parents said and be a good girl.
Although she didn't lose hope and continued to train her body everyday, by doing acrobatics, lots of stretching and some muscle building body weight workouts.
Unlike her previous life where she had power now she aimed for a more balanced mix of power and agility.
Sooner or later she would impress her father with her physical abilities and be able to start training with swords and martial arts. Martial arts being a thing that she truly loved to train, so she made it her utmost biggest goal.
In time she would become manly again and then she would show everyone that she could be cool. And she could be like her brother's and lead men into glorious combat. Or at least she hoped to avoid marrying any of those boys, just thinking of it felt so wrong, no way.
