Alister and Miyu turned, their eyes meeting the cold blue gaze of Union Branch Director Aethel. The silver-haired man stood flanked by Union officers, all in dark suits. A black limo could be seen far behind them, its polished surface reflecting the neon lights of the city.
Aethel sighed, shaking his head slightly. "You're always full of surprises, Alister. But this? Never in my life would I have guessed that the Union President himself was your father."
He spoke calmly, but there was a trace of genuine surprise in his voice.
"I'm honestly surprised he didn't announce this over a live broadcast for the entire Mega City to hear."
