[Static]
The radio slightly glitched, struggling to catch a signal over the stormy rainy day outside, it cracked some more until it finally stopped, and a familiar voice boomed from the radio. Oddly charismatic.

Starchy: "Welcome, to all the people of Ooo tuning in to another mind-bending episode of Starchy's Graveyard shift. But today, before we get to talking about any of our normal conspiracies old Starchy here has a big announcement to make to all our friends out there interested in the occult and strange festivals!
{VFX: Crowd clapping and cheering}
Starchy: To all those curious about what I might mean, let me explain it to you. After every random passage of a certain time, strange things start to happen throughout the land of Ooo, stranger that normal that is. People start to dance randomly, monsters appear more often, strange structures sprouting from the ground.
{VFX: Crowd Oohing in expectations}
Starchy: Yes, I know people, all very normal in the land of Ooo, but what isn't normal is the even more sudden weather patterns that suddenly hit the entirety of Ooo. Like for those who have been vigilant, you will have noticed it slightly raining in the fire kingdom! You hear that folk, rain in the fire kingdom!
{VFX: The crowd Laughs}
Starchy: Yeah, yeah, I get it, but I know what you all want to ask, "What does this mean Starchy". Well Folks, it means only one thing…!
{VFX: The crowd gasps in anticipation}
Starchy: The arrival of the Blood moon festival, A festival that attracts all the strangeness of Ooo and even more. It makes the whole of Ooo start to go haywire. Jakes long arm returned to his body after he switched of the radio from Starchy's speech. He still could not understand why Finn liked listening to that show anyway, it was just a bunch of Baloney to Jake.
"This sounds like a bad idea Finn; I like it already. "Jake said excitedly, forgetting about his earlier annoyance with the radio show. He felt slightly excited over all the pieces of information they had managed to get from the festival.
He was satisfied with his new knowledge about the festival, the thing that had been making Finn acting all weird for the past few days, it must have been important to him. And it sounded like it was going to be fun.
"Yeah, I know Jake, I know." Finn smiled knowingly. Everything that he needed to prepare was already prepared, all that was left was to set out.
It was quite close to midnight currently, just some thirty minutes until the clock struck and the two were still at the tree house.
It was dark outside, dark and rainy, a truly auspicious combination and the timing of the event only made it even more auspicious.
[Sound off rain]
Finn had grown accustomed to the sound of constant rain these past few days and it had quickly become a sort of lullaby for him but now was not the time for sleep.
"It's time to go jake. "Finn said tightly wrapping his yellow raincoat around himself. He looked at Jake and gave him a thumbs up.
"Hop in." Finn stretched out his shirt pocket indicating Jake should hurry so they could get going.
"That will not be needed this time. I carry a great burden this time. "Jake dramatically uttered, his hands covering his face.
"Yeah, please do tell this great burden of yours. "Finn asked both curiously and in mock amusement. He already had guesses on what this burden was, the basket Jake had been trying to hide behind him was a great give away.
"I'm carrying the snacks! "Jake showed off the steamy basket, a proud smile on his face.
He then laughed smugly at his disinterest, as if it were a great secret he had said and finally he uttered once more.
"They're your favorite Finn cakes. "Jake smiled seeing Finn's now stuck face, then Finn finally gave a standard bootlicking smile as he approached Jake.
"Oh, Jake the bestest best friend in the world. You know you're my favorite brother right! "Finn had zero shame as he uttered those words, a gentle smile on his face.
"Praise me more Finn. Hahahaha. "Jake laughed happily at the forcefully kind words.
......…..
The two quickly transversed the forest to the area of the Blood moon festival.
It was cold and dump all around, easily affecting there moods but the two came to an easy solution to this problem.
A Rock, paper, scissors competition!
Some might have said that the game would quickly lose its competitive edge but with a dog who was bent on cheating and a child who had never lost a match in all his life, the match was hilariously catastrophic.
'"Now we shake our hands and in one two three SHOOT!!" They chanted their little song, and both threw their hands out.
"Dang it! "This was Jake, who had quickly realized that even when he was cheating, he was still losing. And that fact troubled him greatly. How had he lost completely at this game which was tailor made for him!
"I'm sorry, buddy. I've never lost a rock paper scissors game in my life. "Finn said seriously, like an aged veteran giving his life story. He gave Jake a sarcastic pat on the back.
"That sounds like a bunch of baloney, no one's that lucky. Let's go again!! "
And so, the two continued their trek through the forest.
"Dang it, not again!"
......
Finn had noticed the closer they got to the area the seemingly the more the rain seemed to clear up and the sky seemed to get brighter and brighter.
"Are we there yet. "Finn asked the umpteenth time.
Jake was currently their guide, as he was familiar with the route they needed to take. His sensitive nose also guided him along with his super snout.
"Relax yourself fool; I can smell it up ahead. "Jake answered easily, making sure to keep a tight hold on Finn's hands.
They walked further a short moment of silence until they completely broke from the forest cover and came out to a wide clearing ahead.
The earlier rain had completely disappeared from this area. Even though the clouds above were gone, all that was left was the bright night sky, with countless twinkling stars. The galaxy seemed completely exposed now, like a tapestry or an ancient code. Finn was sure he could see hints of a red planet from where he was.
There was a lone building that occupied the entirely of this field, a giant arena which had pristine white structures and a large wooden gate for its entrance. The stadium had a sort of rustic look to it, with all the overgrown trees and some areas with strange flower bushes.
From Finn memories of the map offered to him by Cornifer, he could recall that this stadium was quite close to the hidden wizard city that only allowed wizards to enter. How Cornifer had managed this knowledge was beyond Finn. He was aware of how isolationist the city was from the show and how they only allowed wizards to enter. So, for Cornifer to know of this place was a curious thing to Finn. Maybe Cornifer was magic?
And to Finns knowledge of himself, he could be called a wizard by normal standards. And he had already planned a visit to the so-called secret city. Would he be able to enter? That was another adventure for another time
But for now, it was time to see what this festival was all about.
"Welcome to the Wizard Battle Arena Finn."
Jake echoed like a proper tour guide as he showed Finn happily.
.......Adventure Time.....
