Gu Xiaoer was in disarray, she had bit off more than she could chew...
Several books from the shelf came tumbling down towards her forehead with a crash.
"I'm going to die!"
With an air of cluelessness, she shut her eyes tight, frantically using her arms to shield her head, bracing for the pain that was about to come.
Pages rustled, and Gu Xiaoer curled up into a ball.
In the blink of an eye, she suddenly felt a swift breeze beside her and a figure flashed before her eyes, moving faster than the falling books.
Before four or five thick books could hit the girl's head, the "crashing" sound ceased, and they all landed securely in a pair of large hands.
"Huh?" Gu Xiaoer opened her eyes and looked up to see Han Luoli holding a stack of books, looking at her quizzically.
"You're so lazy! Don't you know to use a stool?" The man casually scolded her, then placed the books on a table nearby.
Gu Xiaoer pouted, feeling wronged and glanced over the man.
