Li Pan was in a state of panic, cradling bundles of thread fine as spider silk, darting in and out between 'Tunzei,' 'Feidu,' the 'office,' and the 'elevator shaft.'
He first tied the starting points of those red threads, one bundle for each person, to the souls of 'Li Tunzei' and 'Li Feidu,'
Then, passing through the elevator shaft, he threaded the ends of the threads, one by one, through the dark, hollow eye sockets of those human-faced centipedes, hooking onto their hearts and souls, and refined them into blood puppet avatars.
Next, as if wiring a circuit, he formed those threads into a massive spiderweb on the office desk.
Finally, like plucking the strings of a harp, he maneuvered every word and movement of these blood puppet avatars with the divine art of commanding spirits and controlling ghosts.
