Avery sighed, stepping into the general elevator with Jodi's arm linked with hers.
"I really do not think we should do this, Jodi. First of all, I know absolutely nothing about her and—"
"You know nothing about her because you do not want to know," Jodi interrupted. Watching Avery punch in the button of the floor they would be getting off, she could not help but roll her eyes, "You can find every single information about Alice Sherman on the internet, as long as you search it. She's a public figure, Ava."
"Exactly. Why would a public figure who doesn't know anything about me except my name, suddenly invite me to a night out with her friends?" Avery exhaled out of exasperation. Alice Sherman had invited her on a night outing with her friends and just when she wanted to refuse, Jodi had interjected and told her they would think about it. She could not understand why an actress of that caliber would extend an arm of friendship to her, as early as this.
