Teddy, Shawn, Patricia, and Hayley woke up this morning without any thought that they would find their boss under a desk, working. Even in their wildest imagination, they would never have envisioned this.
But it was happening.
Right now, they were staring at Penny, who was crouched under one of the unused desks, surrounded by piles of documents.
"Penny, are you okay?" Patricia asked in disbelief, watching as Penny peeled her eyes away from her laptop. "What are you doing under there?"
"Meditating?" Penny shot back. "Can't you see I'm hiding?"
"Hiding from who?" Hayley blurted out, only to bite her tongue as she realized how blunt she sounded. Shock had taken over for a second.
Penny ruffled her hair as she thought about it. "Too many to count," she grumbled before looking at them fiercely. "Whoever it is, if someone comes looking for me—whoever it is—tell them I'm out somewhere."
The four exchanged blank looks.
"What if it's someone important?" Teddy asked.
