Eiravyne sat frozen, her thoughts tangled and her breath uneven.
She didn't know what to say, her hands resting awkwardly on her lap.
Urag, without warning, shifted closer. He leaned forward and let his head rest on her shoulder, his breath warm against her neck.
"Don't move," he murmured, his voice low and quiet.
"I just…" he began, his words trailing off. There was a pause, and then he added, almost inaudibly, "Just stay like this for a while."
Eiravyne blinked, her face burning, but she didn't dare move.
She could feel the steady rise and fall of his breath, the warmth of his presence enveloping her.
Whatever it was that weighed on him, it was evident in the way he clung to her now, and despite her confusion, she couldn't bring herself to push him away.
Eiravyne's voice was barely above a whisper as she broke the stillness. "Urag… what is happening?"
For a moment, he didn't respond, his breathing steady but his grip on her unyielding.
