Chapter 11 - The CEO of the Sect

The moment Jia Wei Xin stepped into Liu Mo Fei's sect, she felt like she had walked straight into a five-star resort. Wide courtyards paved with polished stone stretched out in front of her, with elegant buildings flanking them. Flower gardens and shimmering pools added a touch of serenity—and opulence.

And this was just the beginning.

Liu Mo Fei led her straight to his personal quarters. Or more accurately, his private mansion.

Marble floors. Expensive silk curtains fluttering at the windows. Antique furniture that screamed 'old money' even in this ancient world.

Jia Wei Xin blinked.

I didn't know my sifu was a secret tycoon, she thought faintly. Are you sure you're not the CEO of a conglomerate?

Out loud, she asked, "Sifu, how many disciples are in the sect?"

Liu Mo Fei glanced over his shoulder with a grin. "About six thousand or so. Why?"

Jia Wei Xin almost tripped on the spotless marble floor.Six thousand? That's not a sect—that's a full-blown multinational corporation!

---

"Come, I'll show you your room," Liu Mo Fei said, his fingers tightening briefly around hers.

Without waiting, he tugged her along, practically dragging Jia Wei Xin through the elegant corridors like an excited kid showing off a secret hideout.

Jia Wei Xin stumbled a little to keep up, laughing softly under her breath.Sifu, for all his lazy airs, moves fast when he wants to.

They stopped before a beautifully carved wooden door. With a flourish, Liu Mo Fei pushed it open.

Inside—Spacious, luxurious, absurdly comfortable.Silk sheets. Polished floors. An entire wall of delicate paintings.

It looked like it could host a royal princess.

Jia Wei Xin blinked in amazement. "This is... my room?"

"Of course," Liu Mo Fei said, looking terribly pleased with himself.

He leaned lazily against the doorway, arms crossed, grinning like a cat that caught two birds at once.

"But don't forget—you're here to train, not to laze around," he added, voice playful.

He dropped her small bundle of luggage onto a lavishly carved table with a casual flick of his wrist.

Jia Wei Xin was about to step inside when she caught sight of another door just a few steps away—one that looked suspiciously similar to hers.

As if sensing her glance, Liu Mo Fei's grin widened.

"My quarters are just next door," he said, voice dropping into a lazy purr."Easier for me to wake you up if you try to sleep in."

Or sneak in to wake you up in... other ways, Liu Mo Fei thought wickedly, barely restraining a smirk.

---

At the side, standing at polite attention, was a tall, serious-looking man in his twenties. Sharp features, steady gaze.

"This is Zhou Li," Liu Mo Fei said. "My assistant. If you need anything, ask him."

Jia Wei Xin smiled politely. Zhou Li gave a small nod in return, though she caught a flicker of curiosity—and maybe sympathy—in his eyes.

---

Instead of unpacking right away, Liu Mo Fei steered her toward a shaded pavilion in the courtyard.

"Rest first," he said lazily, dropping into a chair.

Zhou Li appeared almost immediately, carrying a tray filled with exquisite snacks and a steaming teapot. The aroma alone made Jia Wei Xin's mouth water.

She picked up a delicate pastry and took a bite—then froze.

"This is... top-grade spirit grain!" she gasped, eyes wide.

Liu Mo Fei looked smug. "Of course. I sent word ahead to Zhou Li to prepare everything properly. You think I'd let my first private disciple starve?"

Jia Wei Xin blinked at him, warmth blooming in her chest.

Isn't he a little too sweet when he wants to be?

She hid a small smile as she nibbled on another piece, pretending not to be moved.

---

As she glanced around, she noticed something odd—all the servants were male. Tall, neat, efficient.

Curious, she leaned closer and asked, "Sifu, why are all your servants men?"

Liu Mo Fei picked up a delicate cup, poured tea for her personally, and answered casually, "Women are too troublesome."

He said it lightly, almost laughing—but inwardly, his real thought flickered. Too many women throwing themselves at me. Crying, scheming, sneaking into my bedchambers... Annoying.

He preferred peace. Simplicity. Efficiency.

At least, that was the idea... until her.

Liu Mo Fei's gaze darkened slightly as he watched Jia Wei Xin raise her teacup, completely unaware of the effect she had on him.

This one... She can trouble me all she likes. She can crawl into my bed, and I'd even tuck her in myself.

A slow, wicked smile curled his lips.

Leaning in, his voice dropped into a velvet murmur.

"But you..."His eyes swept lazily over her, warm and deliberate."You, I wouldn't mind if you caused me a lot more trouble."

Jia Wei Xin nearly dropped the teacup.

She fumbled for a pastry instead, stuffing it into her mouth just to avoid replying, while her ears burned bright red.

Liu Mo Fei sipped his tea lazily, looking like he hadn't just thrown her entire world into chaos with a few whispered words.

---

Just as Jia Wei Xin was nibbling cautiously on the delicacies, a sudden commotion stirred the courtyard.

From the main gates, a group of elders swept in—robes billowing, expressions sharp and grim.

Zhou Li hurriedly stepped forward to intercept them, bowing low.

"My apologies, Elders. Sect Head Liu is currently—"

But before he could finish, the elders brushed past him without even slowing down, storming toward the pavilion like a tide.

Jia Wei Xin blinked in surprise, pastry halfway to her mouth.

Who are these people? she wondered.

There were around twelve to fourteen of them, men and women alike. Most looked to be in their fifties—experienced, steady, exuding the quiet authority of those used to commanding respect, much like C-level executives in the modern world.

Among them, two women stood out sharply.

One, dressed in muted, elegant robes, carried herself with a calm dignity. Her hair was streaked with silver, her gaze steady.

The other—The other was strikingly young-looking, almost out of place among the older crowd. She wore a flowing dress that clung just enough to her curves, the neckline dipping a little too low for strict sect standards. Her lips were painted a soft, alluring red, and her eyes—heavily lined—never left Liu Mo Fei for a second.

Definitely trouble, Jia Wei Xin thought dryly.

---

The moment the elders laid eyes on Liu Mo Fei, a visible spark ran through the group.

Several straightened unconsciously, as if bracing for a battle they hadn't prepared for.

The younger female elder practically beamed—until she caught sight of Jia Wei Xin sitting beside Liu Mo Fei.

And then—Her smile froze. Her gaze sharpened into something cold and razor-edged.

It was obvious, even to Jia Wei Xin, that the young elder had more than professional feelings for Sect Head Liu.

And right now, Jia Wei Xin had become public enemy number one.

---

It seemed like there were more flies buzzing around than she had expected—All ready to harass her just because she was too close to Liu Mo Fei.

If Jia Wei Xin had known earlier that coming back to the sect meant dealing with a swarm of killer ladies, she would have firmly stayed outside.

Let Liu Mo Fei and Zhang Tian fight it out in the wilderness for all she cared!

Now? Now she was stuck. Trapped between a dangerously attractive sifu and a legion of jealous women.

Why am I dragged into your drama, Sifu?? she wailed inwardly.

It was exhausting just thinking about it.

Jia Wei Xin took a deep breath, steeling herself.

So tiring... Sifu, you better compensate me well!

If Liu Mo Fei had heard her inner complaint, he would have answered without hesitation—"I'll compensate you with my body!"

...and he would have meant every word.
