Shishou took a deep breath as he gazed upon the desolate landscape before him. During this month, he had been in constant contact with Kaguya, learning many techniques and methods for utilizing the Otsutsuki clan's ocular powers.
Kaguya had shared with him the method to merge the Rinnegan and Tenseigan into a single eye. According to her, the powers of the Divine Tree and the Otsutsuki clan share the same origin, and if the eyes come from the same person, they can be fused.
Under Kaguya's guidance, Shishou successfully opened a third eye on his forehead, where he placed the merged Rinnegan and Tenseigan, creating a new eye he called the Reincarnation Tenseigan.
Simultaneously, Shishou had implanted Obito's Kamui Sharingan into his eyes, intending to use the Divine Tree's power within him to accelerate its evolution into the Rinnegan. As for Shisui's Kotoamatsukami Sharingan, it was still on cooldown, so Shishou was in no rush to use it.
However, the most pressing task was finding the other Ten-Tails.
According to Shishou's sensing, the Ten-Tails was located within this barren desert ahead. This area, situated in the extreme western part of the Land of Wind, lay beyond the known maps of the ninja world. Surprisingly, the extreme west was entirely a lifeless desert.
Shishou speculated that the desolation was caused by the Otsutsuki clan planting the Divine Tree here. The Divine Tree absorbed natural energy, and once depleted, it left behind a vast desert. It was similar to when Shishou drained the natural energy around Ryuchi Cave, turning a twenty-mile radius into a barren wasteland.
After several days of traversing the desert, Shishou finally found an underground cavern.
"It seems the Ten-Tails is inside," he mused.
After forming a few hand seals to sense the area, Shishou created a shadow clone to scout ahead.
Walking through the cavern, Shishou eventually encountered the slumbering Ten-Tails deep within.
The Ten-Tails before him appeared larger than the one in the original story, likely due to absorbing a significant amount of natural energy. The surrounding desert was clear evidence of this.
Standing before the Ten-Tails, Shishou had his clone begin the process of transferring the beast to the moon.
After relocating the Ten-Tails, Shishou began awakening it according to Kaguya's instructions. Halfway through, he paused and gestured for his clone to continue the process. Despite being the strongest in the ninja world, Shishou preferred to exercise caution.
The clone approached the Ten-Tails and followed Kaguya's instructions to awaken it.
"ROAR!!"
Minutes later, a colossal beast awoke on the moon, letting out an earth-shaking roar. The newly awakened Ten-Tails immediately lunged at the clone to absorb its energy.
Poof!
The clone turned into white smoke and vanished.
Losing its immediate target, the Ten-Tails turned its gaze toward Shishou's true form. Meanwhile, Shishou picked up a communication orb and asked Kaguya how to transform the Ten-Tails into a Divine Tree.
Kaguya's response was simple: defeat it.
Seeing her straightforward method, Shishou sighed. "Seems I can't avoid a fight."
Putting away the communication orb, Shishou dodged the Ten-Tails' tail swipe and quickly formed hand seals, activating his Sage Chakra Cloak.

Several red torii gates descended from the sky, pinning the Ten-Tails' tails to the moon's surface.
Changing hand seals again, Shishou sealed the beast's head with another red torii gate.
"ROAR!!"
The Ten-Tails roared and struggled against the bindings. Shishou, having stepped into the Six Paths realm, had enhanced the power of Hashirama's Gate of the Great God, making it impossible for the Ten-Tails to break free.
Clapping his hands, Shishou summoned dozens of enormous wooden hands from the ground, tightly binding the Ten-Tails. He then formed more hand seals, and a towering Kannon Buddha statue rose beneath him.
The Buddha stood, pressing its "Sit" marked palm onto the Ten-Tails' head.
Six Paths: Kannon Bodhisattva!
Touched by the Buddha, the Ten-Tails immediately calmed down.
Seeing the beast subdued, Shishou let out a sigh of relief. "As expected, Wood Release has the best restraint against tailed beasts. They all have to behave."
Of course, this was mainly because the tailed beasts didn't know how to precisely wield their power.
With the Ten-Tails pacified, Shishou followed Kaguya's instructions to transform it into a Divine Tree. Soon, a thousand-meter-tall tree stood proudly on the moon.
"Pity it hasn't borne fruit yet," Shishou thought greedily.
Approaching the Divine Tree, he placed his hand on it, starting to absorb its energy. After acquiring the Kamui Sharingan, Shishou had an idea—whether he could use Kamui to access Kaguya's starting ball space.
In the original story, Obito had once used Kamui in conjunction with Kaguya's space-time travel to open portals to her dimensions.
Since Shishou had left numerous Flying Thunder God markings in Kaguya's space, he hoped that evolving Kamui into the Rinnegan would enable him to do the same.
Regardless, he decided to give it a try.
If he could enter Kaguya's starting ball space, he would strike it rich. The dimension, populated by Sage Animals developed over a thousand years, would be highly prosperous. He could harvest their chakra to cultivate the Divine Tree or use Kaguya's cells to achieve a bloodline transformation, attaining true immortality.
This way, even if Otsutsuki Momoshiki and the other pursuers arrived, he wouldn't have to fear them. He could also release Kaguya to join forces against common enemies.
As Shishou absorbed the Divine Tree's power, it began to tremble. A quick thrashing subdued it, allowing Shishou to continue his absorption.
While drawing the tree's power, he focused the energy into his left eye. The Kamui Sharingan spun rapidly and throbbed intensely.
Finally, the patterns in his Kamui Sharingan connected, transforming it into a Rinnegan.
