The battle between Gensou and Obito appeared rather... casual.
To be exact, Gensou was casual—Obito was going all out.
Though Obito had obtained the power of the progenitor of chakra, he was still forced to suppress Kaguya inside his body. Because of that, his true strength was limited. Dealing with a Six Paths Sage or a weakened Kaguya wasn't a problem—but facing Gensou, he was clearly outmatched.
Fortunately for him, Gensou wasn't fighting seriously either.
Killing Obito would just lead to Kaguya popping up again in her undead form. It would never end. Too troublesome.
It was easier to toy with him like this, while waiting for his clones to complete the system tasks one by one.
Besides, remembering a certain unexpected individual had just sent him a message through a jutsu, Gensou's lips curved slightly. He didn't mind dragging things out a little longer.
To avoid Obito realizing anything was wrong and slipping away, Gensou smashed him into the ground with a punch, then casually raised his hand and beckoned,
"Come on, Kenji. One more round."
"My name is Obito!!"
Obito's face turned black with rage. With a thunderous boom, he shot into the sky and charged at Gensou with everything he had.

[Quest Intro: After receiving intel on Orochimaru from Sasori, the host will join Team 7 to investigate and capture Sasori's spy and uncover Orochimaru's location.]
While the real Gensou tangled with Obito, a new quest arrived. His clones outside swiftly sprang into action.
"By the way, I've already killed Kabuto and Orochimaru in this world... What's going to happen now?"
The final battleground of the Fourth Great Ninja War wasn't that large. Gensou's clones scoured it and quickly found Sasori's so-called spy—Kabuto. And not far behind him, Orochimaru.
Gensou looked at the two, their eyes bearing the pattern of the Rinnegan, caught in Infinite Tsukuyomi, and began to ponder.
Before Shippuden, his system would've reacted differently.
Killing them back then wouldn't have triggered anything. It might've even generated new missions involving the already-dead characters.
But now...
Recalling how he had altered canon by saving a living Gaara and how the system upgraded his reward, Gensou figured the Shippuden version of the system had become slightly more flexible—still not the brightest, but better.
"Well, might as well test it. The system allows some leeway now."
Crack! With a twist, Kabuto's neck was snapped.
Then—snap!—one of the hardest-to-kill characters in the ninja world, Orochimaru, was also dealt with.
Gensou turned to look at the system.
Sure enough, a familiar chime rang out.

[Upgrading quest reward…]
[Quest Reward: One-Tenth Ōtsutsuki Bloodline.]
Just as expected!
Everything had gone according to plan.
Back on the battlefield, Gensou felt the newly granted Ōtsutsuki bloodline coursing through him—now stronger than the total amount he had before.
Under its boost, even his already Six Paths-level body gained a slight enhancement.
A flicker of joy flashed in his eyes.
Now he knew exactly what to do next.
"Impossible!!"
While Gensou was briefly distracted, Obito—powerless to stop what he was witnessing—stood frozen, disbelief written all over his face.
He'd known Gensou was strong.
But he never imagined this mysterious stranger, unheard of in their world, could be this powerful.
Stronger than even the progenitor of chakra, Kaguya. Stronger than the Sage of the Six Paths.
It made no sense!
Obito felt immense pressure.
For the first time, he regretted calling out to Gensou.
Looking back, that nod Gensou gave when they first met… it was actually very polite.
But now, it was too late to take it back.
Obito, who refused to abandon the world he had created with his own hands, could only grit his teeth and press on.
"Power… You need more power…"
Just then, a seductive voice echoed in Obito's mind.
"I can give it to you… more power… Just let go…"
It was Kaguya's voice.
Obito knew that well.
Ever since he had suppressed her with his overwhelming will, she had kept trying to break free.
And now, here she was again.
Kaguya could definitely grant him more power—but Obito also knew it was a poisoned gift.
He ignored her and continued to fight Gensou with everything he had.
But Gensou, sensing that Kaguya was stirring within Obito again, intentionally held back—just enough to keep Obito from reaching the breaking point.
He would wait.
Until that person arrived.
BOOM!
A heavy rumble surged in from the distance, arriving in the blink of an eye.
"Naruto? No… It's the Six Paths Sage!"
Obito's expression changed drastically.
Before he could react—
Gensou suddenly turned completely serious, launching a fierce offensive. While Obito struggled to respond, Gensou shouted without even turning his head:
"Cooperation is fine—prove your sincerity. Seal him!"
"No problem!"
The Six Paths Sage made no mention of the fact that he had already killed his alternate self—he figured that alone was enough to show his sincerity.
Hearing Gensou's demand, he immediately sprang into action, coordinating with him to flank Obito.
Obito's face twisted in shock. He finally tried to escape.
But—it was too late.
Even as the alternate Kaguya rushed over, sensing Obito's danger and preparing to intervene—
An unexpected event occurred.
Kaguya's body suddenly froze.
"You!!"
The original world's Kaguya glared in shock and fury.
"Sorry. I just want to return to my world."
After being persuaded by the Six Paths Sage in secret, the Kaguya from the upper world switched sides.
To her, rather than letting the Dragon Vein pull them deeper into uncharted realms and clashing with monsters like Gensou along the way, it was better to join them.
Once things returned to the proper path—
Back in her own world, she'd only need to face her son, Hagoromo.
That was a fight she had a better chance of winning.
So!
With Kaguya momentarily stunned, and Obito now facing a two-on-one—
It wasn't long before he began to falter.
His face turned pale as Gensou beat him down, shattering his confidence.
Then—Naruto's hand, marked with the Sun and Moon Seals, struck his back at just the right moment.
Obito had no time to escape.
The next moment—
"Six Paths: Chibaku Tensei!"
