The audience below watched the musical intently, their faces occasionally showing smiles, at times anger, and sometimes exhilaration... as if they themselves were characters in the story.
Not until the actors exited the stage and the music slowly faded, and the stage lights brightened again, did the crowd still immersed in the performance manage to snap back to reality.
