The sound of the wind whistled past his ears. The young man who took Roger away seemed quite interested in him. The energy cocoon enveloping their bodies allowed them to converse freely, unaffected by the ambient temperature and airflow.
Throughout this process, Roger's consciousness drifted away. He heard the young man introduce himself.
He knew he came from one of the eight branches under Tengu Shrine, a rising star there. His teacher was reputed to be the most outstanding successor in the history of Tengu Shrine.
Their flight grew faster and occasionally, they exchanged words. As time passed, Roger found his consciousness becoming increasingly muddled.
