As Mitchell gazed into the apartment cave, he took his time to absorb the sheer beauty that surrounded him. The luxurious furniture and decorations seemed to gleam in the soft light, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. Everything looked immaculate, as if it had been preserved in pristine condition despite the passage of time.
Despite his awe, Mitchell's face remained neutral, giving away none of his emotions. He simply nodded to himself, as if acknowledging the beauty of the apartment, and continued to explore.
Jack's apartment was truly magnificent. If this was how a god lived, Mitchell thought to himself, he wouldn't mind becoming one just for this.
As if sensing his thoughts, Jack spoke up, "You like it? I had this place when I was in the spirit repository. I still like it even now."
Mitchell turned to him, curiosity etched on his face. "How was it still clean? You said I slept for over a hundred years, how is it still in good condition?" he asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
Jack chuckled, "Oh, that. There are mini robots that take care of cleaning, so you don't have to worry about any of that."
Mitchell's eyes widened in surprise. "It means that the technological sector is very well established," he exclaimed.
Jack smiled, seeming to enjoy Mitchell's reaction. "Yeah, why would it be otherwise? Did you think that we are savages that only know how to cultivate and fight?"
Mitchell couldn't help but notice that Jack seemed particularly enthusiastic about technology, and he wondered why. But before he could ask, Jack continued, "Anyways, enough yapping and start exploring my wonderful abode."
Mitchell didn't ask again, instead choosing to explore the apartment. He discovered that there were four rooms, each large in its own way. But one room stood out as being much larger than the others, and it was easy to tell that it was the master bedroom. There was a fairly large kitchen, with restrooms in each room.
There were also three extra rooms that Mitchell didn't know what they were for. He made a mental note to ask Jack about them later.
As he finished his exploration, Mitchell's stomach growled, reminding him that he was hungry. "Where's the kitchen? I want to eat after I take my bath," he asked Jack.
Jack's expression turned serious, "Yeah, about that. There is no food here, so you'll have to find your way to the village. It should still be here."
Mitchell's face fell, "Village? What village?"
Jack gestured vaguely, "Just head out of the cave, and you'll see it. It's not far. You'll find food and other necessities there."
Mitchell nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over him. He was hungry, and he needed to find food. He would head to the village and see what it had to offer.
As he made his way to the bathroom to take a bath, Mitchell couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. He was starting a new chapter in his life, and he was determined to make the most of it.
The warm water of the bath felt wonderful on his skin, and he closed his eyes, letting out a contented sigh. He was looking forward to exploring the village and seeing what lay ahead.
After his bath, Mitchell dressed in some of the clothes that Jack had provided, feeling a sense of gratitude towards the god. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, and he was determined to make the most of his time in the spirit realm.
With a sense of purpose, Mitchell set out of the cave, ready to explore the village and start his new life . . . sorta.
