As Evelyn held the orb, she felt a surge of power course through her. The shadows around them coalesced into a dark figure, its eyes glowing with malevolence. The entity spoke in a voice that resonated with centuries of anger and pain, demanding the return of the orb. Mr. Blackwood urged Evelyn to destroy it, but the entity's power held her in place. Summoning all her strength, Evelyn hurled the orb to the ground, shattering it. The entity let out a deafening scream as it dissolved into smoke. The house trembled, then fell silent. Evelyn and Mr. Blackwood were left in darkness.
