"We searched there thoroughly," Han Zhan spoke up, breaking the charged silence. "There was nothing."
Xiang Yu finally turned his attention to Han Zhan, surprised to see him standing there. "Oh, you're here," he said casually. "Trust me, there is water there."
"Okay," Han Zhan replied sceptically, crossing his arms. "Are you willing to stake your life on it?"
Xiang Yu smiled with easy confidence in his demeanour. "Sure. If you don't find anything, you can execute me." His lighthearted tone clashed with the weight of the words, an invitation to trust him.
