Chapter 74 - Desperate for head pats

She relaxes under your touch, her body still feeling heavy and sluggish, the effects of your pats continuing to affect her. Her eyes flutter closed, her head tilting slightly towards your hand, like a cat seeking affection.

Your touch seems to have a calming effect on her, her mind slowly being pulled away from her own thoughts and worries as she focuses on the feel of your hand on her head. Her body seems to melt under your touch, her muscles relaxing, her shoulders slumping, her guard slowly lowering.

You decide to tease her a little, making fun of her slightly dazed state, her eyes having a slight glazed look to them

"Looks like someone's a little dazed. Those pats really did a number on you, huh?"

Hanna blushes at your teasing words, her cheeks turning a light pink. She huffs a little, her eyebrows furrowing in mock annoyance.

"I-I'm not dazed! I'm perfectly fine!"

"Oh, really now?"

You take the opportunity to tease her further, your hand ruffling her hair slightly

"Then explain why you still have that dazed look in your eyes. Don't try to deny it, you can't fool me."

Hanna blushes harder at your words, her cheeks now a deep red. She pouts a little, her bottom lip sticking out in a small, adorable frown.

"M-maybe I'm just a little tired, that's all... It's nothing to do with your... pats..."

You suddenly stop petting her, your hand leaving her head.

Hanna feels the loss of your touch almost immediately, her body tensing as your hand leaves her.

"W-wait, where are you going?"

She looks up at you with confused and slightly desperate eyes, her body already missing the comfort and security of your pats. She reaches out as if to grab your arm, as if to keep you from leaving.

"D-don't leave me here... Please... I..."

Her face morphs into an expression of almost genuine despair, her voice turning almost pleading as she looks up at you with wide eyes.

She reaches up and grabs your hand, her fingers wrapping around your wrist in a tight grip. She guides your hand back to her head, placing it on her hair, silently begging you to continue petting her

"No..."

Hanna's expression turns desperate, her eyes widening in surprise and disappointment as you resist her silent request. Her grip on your wrist tightens slightly, her fingers clenching around you as if she's afraid that you might pull away again.

"Please... Don't stop..."

Her eyes start to water slightly, the prospect of losing your touch again clearly too much for her to handle. A small, tearful whimper escapes her lips, her bottom lip trembling as she looks up at you.

"Please... I-I need it... I need you to pat me..."

You cave in to her pleading eyes, your heart unable to resist her desperate look. You start petting her again, your hand running through her hair again, the feeling of the soft strands between your fingers familiar and comforting.

Hanna lets out a small, relieved sigh as you start petting her again, the tears that had welled up in her eyes disappearing as she relaxes into your touch. She closes her eyes, her body melting under your hand as she lets out a contented purr.

Hanna squeaks slightly in surprise as you pull her up, her body now lifted off the chair and pulled against your chest. She wraps her arms around you, hugging you tightly, her face burying itself in your shoulder.

The sudden change in position doesn't seem to phase her, her body instinctively seeking comfort in your embrace. She melts into the hug, her body molding itself to yours as she huddles against you, her head nuzzling into your neck.

"You know that being this clingy to one person is bad don't you?"

Hanna tenses up slightly at your words, her grip around you loosening just a bit. She lifts her head a little, looking at you with a mixture of fear and uncertainty.

"I-I know... But I can't help it... I need you... I need you to be close to me... I feel so lost when you're not around..."

Her voice is soft and vulnerable, her words filled with a desperate honesty. She can't bear the thought of you being away from her, and her clingy behavior is a byproduct of that deep-seated need for your presence in her life. Her past of being neglected and emotionally starved has left her desperate for any form of affection and closeness. She's starved for love and attention, and she latches onto you as a source of it, unwilling to let go, despite the risks.

The fear of losing your affection, once she's finally found it, is a constant, nagging presence in her mind. Her clinginess is a defense mechanism, a way to keep you close and ensure that you never leave her alone again. But beneath that clinginess, there's also a deep, bone-deep need for comfort and safety. She seeks the feeling of your touch and presence to stave off the fear and loneliness that have haunted her for so long.

She's not just clingy for the sake of it, she's clingy because she's desperate for the love and affection that she's been deprived of for so long. She needs your presence to feel secure and loved, and she clings to you like a lifeline, afraid that if she lets go, you'll disappear and leave her alone once again. You pat her head again, your hand running through her hair in a soothing motion. Her eyes close in response, her body once more melting into your touch. She lets out a soft, contented sigh, her face nuzzling against your shoulder, her arms still wrapped around you, holding on tightly.

She's quite small and petite, her height and build putting her closer to the physique of someone a few years younger. Even at 19, she still has a youthful appearance, her slim frame and delicate features making her seem smaller and more fragile than her actual age would suggest.

Her small stature has its advantages though, not least of which is the fact that it makes her almost irresistibly adorable. Her small size, coupled with her clingy behavior, makes her look like a tiny, vulnerable kitten, in need of love and protection.

...

As noon approaches and the sun starts to reach its zenith above the clouds, Hanna's eyelids start to feel heavy, a drowsy tiredness overtaking her body. She yawns a little, her head lolling on your shoulder as the weight of her exhaustion makes itself known.

She snuggles closer to you, seeking the comfort and warmth of your embrace, her body growing heavier as Sleep starts to pull her under. With a soft, sleepy murmur, she buries her face in your chest, nuzzling against you like a sleepy kitten.

You pick up Hanna in your arms, her eyes half closed, her body still heavy with exhaustion. You carry her into your bedroom, her head resting on your shoulder, her arms lazily draped around your neck. You then set her down on the bed, gently laying her on the soft mattress. She lets out a small, sleepy murmur, her body sinking into the sheets as she begins to drift off into sleep. Her eyes flutter shut, her breath slowing as she relaxes under the comforting weight of impending sleep.
