Prologue

In a world where 200 years ago, a meteorite fell on the Earth and spread a disease that either killed people or mutated them:

When humans turn 19, they are marked with "signs" (max 3) that bond them to 1, 2 or 3 people in the world and they get abilities, Deyanira is an exception.

One day, when she was 5, in the middle of nowhere in France, she was found almost dead and amnesiac, only remembering her name, in the middle of a forest by a couple who were hiking. Why she wasn't already dead is a mystery, since most animals have mutated and become beasts and monsters. After a visit to a nearby hospital and a few months of waiting for her parents to pick her up, the couple decides to adopt her.

They love her, but she was an emotional and capricious child, so they bought her a cat and a dog and sent her to a school in America when she was 14, since she is bilingual. When she turned 19, 6 marks appeared, 1 on her nape, a very small and delicate looking mark, in the form of a rose but with a lot of spikes, 1 on her navel, in the form of the moon and the sun around her belly button, 1 on the inside of her right wrist,  two birds, one white and one black, flying with each other, 1 on her lower back, with an angel wing and a demon wing, 1 on the back of her left hand with black flames and white water and 1  in the inside of her thigh, with the word "Love"in crumbling letters.

And no ability, not 1. No single thing. Deyanira heard that, apparently, people who manifested their abilities had a big magic show or something like that. She didn't even get a little sparkle.

Terrified, she searches everywhere for information about someone who already got more than 3 signs or no ability.

Nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing.

When her parents called her to know how many signs she got, she replied with a lie

"I.. I didn't get any."

Her parents try to reassure her, saying that it's fine and that she'll get 1 soon, that not everyone gets 1 directly.

"How about your ability?"

Deyanira starts crying at that, sobbing and saying she is just a no good and she is sorry.

"Oh sweetie… You'll be fine don't worry."
