Chen Nuo nodded and then asked Xuanzang, "What are you seeking from your journey to the Western Heaven for Scriptures? You have encountered so many demons along the way, aren't you the least bit afraid, won't you back down?"
This question actually stumped Xuanzang, for he himself seemed unsure. Ever since he became conscious, he felt that everything he did was necessary. He had always followed his instincts, but if he were truly asked why he did so, he couldn't be clear.
Seeing Xuanzang's silence, Bodhisattva Guanyin promptly said, "Since we have already stayed here for such a long time, I think, Mr. Chen, since you have agreed to accompany the Tang Monk on his journey to the Western Heaven for Scriptures, we should not delay any longer and may as well depart."
