All Shikamaru did was clench his fists, his usual fatigue seemingly vanished as he said solemnly, "This is a price the Daimyo should pay! Even if there is more to Asuma-sensei's death, dying in a prison cell means the Daimyo is responsible beyond doubt!"
"Well said!" Haruno Sakura surveyed those present, "Then we will try diplomacy before force. We'll send someone to demand an explanation from the Daimyo. If the Fire Country's Daimyo remains obstinate, then Konoha will sever ties with him. Konoha will no longer accept missions from the Fire Country's Daimyo."
With an economy that had become independent, Konoha truly didn't care about the Fire Country's Daimyo.
Confidence allowed them to disregard others.
