"George, McDull, how did you get here?"
Gu Xinzhou's nose tingled, and she nearly burst into tears.
Since the surgery, they were the first family she had seen. She endured the excruciating pain every day, gritting her teeth, while also dealing with Song Zhen's cold violence.
Okay, she admitted, she had been somewhat reckless this time, and Song Zhen had every right to be angry.
But she really, really missed Song Zhen too.
Tears fell, and Gu Xinzhou reached out to the children.
George and McDull panicked, rushing forward, one taking her hand, the other squeezing in front to wipe away her tears.
George said with a giggly smile, "Mommy, don't cry, stop crying. You need to keep your mood in check just after surgery, you should smile, not cry."
McDull stretched his mouth corners as wide as possible and smiled, "Mommy, copy me, copy me. Smile, you look the prettiest when you smile."
Seeing them like this, Gu Xinzhou chuckled.
